I think you don't have a handle on what's actually happening across the pond. We are becoming a banana republic, run by an oligarchs. Trump is the first actual and perhaps only chance to tear the corrupt system down.

Every 4 years it will be harder to contest democrats as they are intentionally shaping the populace to suit their needs.

And if Romney-esque Republican takes charge in 2020, who cares? Oligarchs win, do I trust a RINO to protect my interests?

 

yeah, that video was more of a motivational speech for people who've already heard the arguments and are already on the trump train. So I didn't convince me of anything. However, the video did talk about america becomming a third world banana republic because of immigration, and I suppose that is the core of why you're voting for Trump.

Look, I agree that multiculturalism is stupid. There needs to be less immigration. Criminals need to be deported. Border needs to be secured. Immigrants should assimilate, and more demands be put on immigrants to fit into society. I agree with all that, but there are other things to consider. Most importantly is qualification to be CiC. Trump simply does not have the temperament to be president. I do not trust him, I do not believe he is wise enough. immigration can wait another four years to be adressed. By that time you can put up a normal conservative candidate who will deal with it.

I look at things in the big picture, and in the long run, from the perspective of western civilization. My analysis is that the USA is the leading hegemon of the western world, and that this hegemony rests upon international structures. Security structures, like NATO, economic structures like the tree trade deals. The foreign policy of the USA has since the end of ww2 revolved around building up international systems to cement western and liberal values in the world. I view this in terms of a clash of civilization, in which western values are competing against the illiberal forces, mainly from russia and china. If western civilizations are to continue to dominate, it is imperative that these structures survive and get stronger. But these are the very things Trump seeks to destroy.

 

I really hope this ridiculously delusional post stays around until election day.

No american lives have been lost defending Estonia, but many estonians have died in afghanistan to defend the USA. Another country, which isn't even part of NATO, but decided to help the USA out of good will is Sweden. No american lives have ever died in defence of Sweden, but swedish lives have been given in defense of our friend, the US.
