You mean do the do nothing approach about guns.... right. There is an approach do bring down the stats but unless it focuses on guns, you want nothing to do with it.
You are of course correct in every way as usual and Lawyers agree, However, I prefer to think about that way. Lol.... We are both Pro Gun, that is all that matters ! I would like to take some advanced shooting classes with you some day !
I'm not sure about legalization. I do think that non violent low level drug offenses sometimes carry too long of sentences in a world of prison over population.
It's a do-able option that would work quickly, and just because you say it is the most expensive option available does not make it so. Show proof of your claim. This option will guarantee to help keep people from becoming victims and we can make it happen. Unlike the proposed gun control measures and offer no guarantee of effectiveness and won't happen anytime soon because of strong opposition. These are the facts.
Is that really your worry? The cost to reduce violent gun deaths? If your mother was raped at gun point, I'll bet you would say that you wished you paid an extra dollar a week out of your paycheck to prevent it. Our entitlement programs that give aid to people that enter this country illegally is very expensive too. Guess where I would rather see my tax dollars go.
If I want food, I can grow it, buy it or steal it. Stealing is the least expensive option, but sometimes doing the right thing costs more.
There are always at least 20 guns in my church. There are usually 3 on my pew alone. I dress for the occasion. My EDC is a Kahr CW-9, as I am not a cop and always avoid trouble. It conceals well and is comfortable. If I have to go to a bad neighborhood or go to the State Fair of Texas, I take the Glock 19 and a spare magazine. I always use +P critical defense for my carry ammo. All guns operate similarly, so I don't have to pause to remember how to operate my gun. It works for me.
There was a guy here in Pinellas County, who I think was the former head of the county Libertarian Party, who was trying to make himself a test case about that very issue. He willfully surrendered his license, and for months was TRYING to get arrested or cited. He would inform Law Enforcement where he was, and that he was driving without a license, but the never acted on it. It just dropped off the news, so I don't know what, if anything, happened.
I'm pro-legalization. Legitimate businesses selling legal products settle their disputes with lawyers, not bullets. The homicide rate would fall through the floor. Not saying drugs are good, just that prohibition causes more problems than it solves, even if it worked, but it doesn't.
We could put Joe Arpaio in charge of all Federal prisons. They don't need weight rooms, cable TV, or a college education. They can grow their own food, and build furniture and cabinets for government offices. Only days worked should count toward a sentence. Work should be 8hrs/day 6 days/week. Now we can afford to put more prisoners in prison to keep honest people safe. I have no problem with drug legalization as long as I don't have to pay for their healthcare when they OD or get hurt in an accident while doing drugs. Hurting others while on drugs should double their sentence.
A legitimate solution to reducing gun violence stats has been put forth. It will be swift and effective. Your only argument against it is cost. You have no figures, just that it is expensive. We seem to have found a way to pay to keep everyone in prison now. With some creativeness and a genuine will to effect stats, it can happen. Our politicians don't want to get behind this idea because of political correctness, it has nothing to do with funding.
It is so incredibly vague as to be pointless. I asked you direct questions to get to details and you can not answer them. I don't think you like the answers
Pray tell what answers have you provided in this entire discussion? You have presented nothing but irrelevant discussion about a subject that is no longer valid, that being the incorrect belief that legal firearms ownership is somehow connected to militia service.
What details would you like. We need mandatory training similar to military and law enforcement qualification
