Your opinion but I think you are wrong on well everything again. This mid term election will not give anything back to the Dems if he gets off to a strong start. Your citing history based upon how the two parties played off each other for decades and that doesn't apply anymore. Why? Has there ever been anything like this election? It was basically an unarmed revolution. If the GOP is smart they will advise and play ball themselves or we will fire them too.

As to who he appoints I'm thinking he can't do any WORSE than what we have now. Rudy G for Attorney General is a natural but the big one for me is SoS we need as a country a good man or woman there

Trump will have a republican congress with which to undo all the damage Obama has done: Obama Care, Iran deal, immigration failure, a moribund economy,
a degraded military, foreign policy, etc.

It will be a Herculean task, as they say but it will be necessary.

And right THIS is saying nothing and is the so often shown BS of statistic:

As I wrote in my post ... How much of the US digits has only a little bit to do with NATO ... and how much has to do with pure own interests, investments and are costs, which have not even a spark to do with anything in matter of NATO (for example costs of bases in Asia)?

Exclude all these costs please and THEN make the same comparison + your comment again!

Why? many of the name countries do not have these costs of "Non-NATO" issues as the USA. Every Cent of them has directly or indirectly to do with their duty with and for the NATO!

They cheered Obama and his Pen and Paper approach.. Many including myself reminded them once power is obtained its hard to take away and all future Presidents will have that power... The naive among them could not see the ramifications assuming that Hilary and whomever would follow.. Well my Progressive buddies what do you think now?

Had a feeling Scott Walker was working it quietly. He didn't want to get too public about it because his state is so much of a toss up and he wants to get reelected. But he has one hell of a political machine there.

You need to actually look at what happened to understand why Trump won in spite of losing the NPV. There was a very low turnout amongst Dems to the tune of at least 12 to 15 million voters in my own estimation. Yes, they were disillusioned with Hillary and they weren't going to vote for Trump either.

In two years time if there is an economic recession and people are struggling for jobs they will punish the party in power, just as they did to Obama even though it wasn't anything that the Dems were responsible for doing. Yes, this is based upon there being a recession but there hasn't been one for the last 6 years and Trump's policies and big mouth are going to bring one about IMO.

What happened in this election won't matter when it comes to wanting to punish Congress and since the GOP holds the majority it is going to be punished in 2018. And yes, Ryan knows how this works and it is the last thing he wants to have happen on his watch so he will want to control Trump to stop it from happening. If he can't control him and it does happen then impeachment is the next step so that they can replace Trump with Pence.

As far as who Trump picks for his cabinet goes that is a gimme. He only wants sycophants and yes men. Krispie Kreme for AG if Trump keeps his promise. As far as the rest goes Trump is probably going to be at loggerheads with the Senate trying to get his picks passed. When it comes to a SCOTUS appointment that won't go anywhere either unless he chooses from a list they give him.

a market correction is coming because the rich lose their dependence on cheap labor from outsourcing and hiring illegal immigrants, with Trumps Tariffs and Huge Wall.

that will be hard on the unskilled and uneducated, but your future prediction of licking the boots of attractive politicians for generous welfare is unfounded, because American's don't accept low wages or unemployment because of robots.

your fear mongering is not righteous.

What market correction is that ?? Trump is pro business and thus pro economic growth which is net beneficial to the US economy. One of the first things he will do is bring back the ~ $1.5T in corporate profits stuck overseas due to the US tax policy of not having a territorial tax system as every other country in the world has.

he ran on tariffs and a huge wall to end cheap labor, that is his mandate. he will bring 1.5 trillion in corporate profits after fixing trade, or it would be squandered.

He so many fantastic mandates to work on... I'm really looking forward to our future foreign relations, and I do hope he can do what he said in his victory speech and heal this giant left-right rift and really help America. I'm sure there will be wailing and gnashing of teeth over an 0bamacare repeal, and a lot of clueless Democrat supporters have the most outlandish fears about the kind of regime Trump will have thanks to a lot of silly and extreme claims on both sides throughout the campaign. I hope Trump can bring economic benefit and a sense to hope to all sorts of people.

I suppose my greatest concern is what will happen with China now. He says he's going to declare them a currency manipulator. Not sure what all we can expect there, though relations were already not too good under 0bama anyway. Maybe they'll at least end up respecting if not liking Trump.

This was a victory for Americans, not for those who prefer to hyphenated Americans.. The media, who few trust and yet seem oblivious to this reality, will always refer to the African American vote, Women's vote, Hispanic vote, etc. but this was an American vote and the people largely ignored the MSM.

Another winner was Fox News, where many predicted a Trump victory. No one in the MSM saw this coming.

This is why I really wanted Trump to win - to watch Leftists go bat (*)(*)(*)(*) crazy.

I'm so deep in the schadenfreude right now I may never come out...:)

All the stuff I mentioned is low hanging fruit.

And speaking of "getting ahead of yourself", that's precisely what Democrats did. If it wasn't for their arrogance and overreach Republicans wouldn't be assuming control of both ends of Pennsylvania Avenue come January.

The only question in my mind right now is if McConnell is going to give Dems a taste of Harry Reid's medicine and nuke the filibuster for all legislation, not just judicial appointments.

Nah, Democrats screwed up by backing the worst candidate in their history, who lost to the worst candidate in GOP history.

Both candidates were bad, which is why voter turnout this time was actually down compared to 2012.

"that's precisely what Democrats did" Correct, it wasn't the Trump team measuring drapes and scheduling fireworks shows. And that's the little stuff.
