Are you kidding? Donald Trump will be a like an adrenaline shot for the Democrats. They are always best when they are the opposition party anyway. And he's going to give them plenty of ammunition to use against the Republicans.

Look for the Democrats to emerge from this stronger than ever. Hopefully they'll have learned a lesson about making the queen of corruption their flagship. But then again, that's what the Republicans did too this time, and it worked for them, so what do I know.

Trump can't and won't do that. Congress has to do that. Did you vote out the people in Congress, Republican and Democrat alike, who have refused thus far to actually do anything about it? Or did you send them back, again?

Cutting what one spends is NOT easy.

The WSJ is not left wing and is very aware of growth. That's central to what they care about.

Hillary Clinton had 2 billion dollars and 5 networks pulling for her. Trump had the half hearted attempt by Fox to help him. He spent maybe 200 - 250 million and beat the "biggest sure thing" in political history.

We will bring 3 trillion dollars back from foreign countries.

Obamacare is fundamentally based on free market economics.

It is run by insurance corporations and by those corporations that self insure.

Let's remember that Republican suggestions have depended on tax write offs.

And, way more than half America doesn't have the kind of income that allows for tax write offs to fund health care.

Plus, there are several right wing directions that depend on this funding method. The "fund by tax write offs" direction can not possibly fund all the features the GOP wants to make dependent on this method.

Let's also remember that when we write off stuff on taxes, that loss of federal revenue has to come from somewhere, and there are no plans for making federal revenue available for that funding method.


This isn't magic. If you think health care is going to cost less, you need to tell me who it is that is going to be getting less money.

Free market capitalism is GREAT!!! But, the way it controls price is by giving people choices. And, the catch with health care is that there isn't some other choice. You can't buy a TV instead of having a hip replacement. You can't buy popcorn instead of filling your prescription for pain meds.

Every health care policy in America conforms to the regulations added by Obamacare.

That doesn't make it communist OR socialist. Insurance companies are free to construct and price their products, to sell those policies and to administer the health care coverage of their customers.

If Obamacare is killed, then every health care policy in America is no longer valid. There is no way that insurance companies would remain in conformance to Obamacare polices, such as providing similarly priced policies to all who apply or not ending the policies of those who get sick or allowing children to be covered under the policies of parents as they are required to do today.

The support Obamacare provides through programs for those on low income is only one part of Obamacare.

And, the GOP direction is to provide government support, too, but through taxes - which helps those who pay significant taxes, not those on low income.

 

as I said Obamacare's biggest change by far is 15 million new people on Medicaid. Its communist and exactly what we'd expect from a communist president who grew up with communist parents and Frank Marshall Davis and Rev. Wright.

 

This is all true, it's going to happen and I just wish the left and the right weren't so polarized and great at pointing fingers. I think the GOP is as clueless and ineffective as the left. I just happen to be a conservative Independent. I'm not the least bit infatuated with any of it.

I'm a righty on fiscal matters and gun rights and left on social stuff and I'll be happy if we do half of the things as outlined in Trumps 100 day plan. The GOP isn't going to like a lot of his plans but he got them here they need to play ball with him so they get some of what they want and he gets some of what he wants.

People saying the GOP is in trouble why can't the left look at themselves? Blood for oil policies, violent regime change, escalating tensions with Russia because why? Saudi Princes gave Obama a reach around? A few million dollars is all it took for the Dem establishment to sell out our country to further the ME Saudi Agenda. It's so hawkish it cost us 100s of billions of dollars and good military and diplomats lives

So the left has some soul searching to do too
