    I agree.

However what corporations pay is as little as they possibly can in order to attract the skills they need.

Cost of living doesn't figure into that. We can set a minimum wage to draw a line at the bottom, but that doesn't help middle America much.

So you deny that it happens? Answer that and I'll be sure to do so.

I wish the minority population could realize that we are all in the same boat. The poor, disenfranchised and dispossessed are minorities in the inner city, immigrants and the white small town and rural people. 90% of the wealth is held by 20% of the population. They are in the beltway in Washington, on the News Channels, Running Papers and Corporations. They are our problem but yet we fight among ourselves. Stupid.

People are crying: It's not because they lost a race

More than 200 hate incidents — ranging from swastika graffiti to physical threats — have been reported across the country since Donald Trump's election, according to the Southern Poverty Law Center, a non-profit that monitors hate groups in the USA.

Now many people of color, women and LGBT people who have long faced threats large and small must grapple with the knowledge that half of their fellow American voters elected someone who has advocated policies aimed at them: Keeping Muslims and Mexicans out of the country, using police tactics considered racially biased such as stop-and-frisk, and grabbing women without consent.

    USA TODAY
Harry Reid calls Trump 'sexual predator' who fueled his campaign with hate

They are part of the other half of American voters, many of whom wept on election night and since, crying not because their horse in the race lost but because they fear for their safety and well-being.

"I think it's normal in any election, one side is going to demonize the other," says Monnica Williams, a licensed clinical psychologist.

"In this case, Trump actually said those awful things about women, about minorities, and he stands by those remarks," Williams says. "It's very scary for people who are part of marginalized and stigmatized communities."

And yet, many people who are upset have been told, even by Trump opponents, to calm down — that it was just an election and that America would continue as it always has.

"To say that this was just another election is blindly ignorant to just how ... viscerally this campaign ripped open the wounds of racial resentment in this country," says Ryan Lenz, a Southern Poverty Law Center spokesperson. "And if it's not apparent to you now, I believe it soon will be."

Indeed, for many people who aren't straight, white American males, these latest hate incidents come on top of a year that was already terrifying and degrading.

    USA TODAY
'Massive rise' in hate speech on Twitter during presidential election

    USA TODAY
Trump's victory leaves black community reeling

    • Five months ago to the day, 49 people were gunned down at Pulse, a gay nightclub in Orlando. It was the deadliest attack on U.S. soil since 9/11.

    • A week before that, the Stanford sexual assault survivor highlighted the disregard many rape victims endure after her attacker, Brock Turner, received a six-month sentence. (He served just three months.)

    • A month later, Alton Sterling and Philando Castile were shot and killed by police in separate incidents within a day of one another.

Pulse, Stanford, Sterling and Castile weren't isolated incidents:

    • This year, 385 black, Hispanic and Native American people have been shot and killed by police, according to The Guardian.

    • Every two minutes, an American is sexually assaulted, according to the Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network.

    • More than 1,114 people were victims of hate crimes because of their sexual orientation or gender identity, according the FBI's 2014 data.

The outbreak of post-election violence aimed at minority groups is "not that surprising" given the language heard and violence seen at Trump rallies, Lenz says.

"Over the course of his campaign, Donald Trump has blown a dog whistle at a number of far-right ideologies from anti-Muslim extremists to flat-out neo-Nazis," says Lenz. "With his election, many racists feel they've been legitimized."

Some Trump supporters — former KKK grand wizard David Duke or students who chanted "build the wall," for instance — openly praised this rhetoric.

Many Trump voters looked past his words, rather than condoned them. Exit polls in Wisconsin, a big win for Trump, show that 21% of voters who had a negative opinion of him voted for him anyway.

"I don't want to give the impression that everyone who voted for Trump is a racist," says Williams, who pointed to economic issues, abortion and problems with Hillary Clinton as other reasons for Trump's victory. "That being said, I think there were a number of people who were racist who said, 'it's about time someone is saying these things.'"

Trump’s campaign, however, has objected to the idea that he has encouraged racism.

“We totally disavow hateful rhetoric,” spokeswoman Hope Hicks has said. “Online or otherwise.”

The Southern Poverty Law Center has called on Trump to "distance himself" from "extremists."

"This violence that is starting to boil over is a reminder of how much work we have to do now to bridge the cultural gaps that are apparent in this country," Lenz says. "This election does not legitimize racial hatred."

But you can deport the parents😜. Either they leave the children with LEGAL family members or they take their children they used to EXPLOIT our generosity back home with them. When they're old enough c'mon back over. No broken laws. Nothing unfair. No one exploiting the system.

The anchor baby law should be abolished immediately though. The child should retain citizenship of the parents. The law was written for military and ambassadors , NOT boat people or Latinos looking for amnesty because their culture is incapable of creating a stable govt.

It's stupid to pick an answer without looking at the data.

And, it is ridiculous to make statements as you have without data.

So post it or give up.

All cognitive testing shows whites outperforming blacks; it's tiring to have to explain this.

I'm curious what environmental variable explains different IQ patterns after controlling for IQ. It seems your entire post was a strawman as I didn't bother to point out blacks have lower IQ than whites. You should try reading.

Which culture is giving whom these IQ test was my point. That you only saw the black in my statement shows me your true focus.
What does it mean for someone whom gets those questions wrong, who is selected to take these IQ tests?, and in taking them does the person taking realize they are apparently speaking for their entire race and why it is apparently impotent for them to do a good job to show the racist that they cannot use such a test to disparage another race?
The fact you can say any group of any kind does worse on an IQ test really shows your actual IQ, that you do not take the individual for the individual.

Lemme see this "all cognitive testing" BS, and what the sampling was to compare white to blacks. so I can see the source of this ignorance.

    Edit:
So far all I can find is All American testing....then again I assume you are only reading research in English, that explains alot...

Doesn't he still have to sign legislation?

We all know he has little actual knowledge of governmental structures, etc--and it appears he has the good sense to learn from those that do.

We should all be watchful of what actually transpires.

The Presidency has hundreds of leadership roles--no one person can unilaterally deal with all of them. What is important is that competent, knowledgeable people of good will are involved, not people willing to cause mass disruption around the planet and claim that "the end justifies the means".

The realities of the candidates and their policy positions, and of the electoral numbers by demographic this year and in previous years, all speak pretty clearly against any "whitelash". Especially consider how well 0bama did in 2008, when he was a welcomed change from the Neo Con brand of Republicanism we got under W. I kind of regarded him as I regarded Trump this time around - not my choice personally, but better than the other major party alternative. I didn't care for McCain and didn't care much for Romney either, and so was not too sad when they lost, although in 2012 I was more opposed to 0bama for his healthcare bill and his other policies, which just didn't appear to be doing any good for the country. Romney was unfortunately too much like Killary, having flip-flopped too much and not having had good policy ideas of his own to offer.

Trump is quite different from all of that, and not because of racism. People have to appreciate how unique he is as a presidential candidate and now as a president-elect. His ideas, his proposed policies, his positions toward the entire government establishment, his promises to the American people, and of course his "outsider" status as a businessman and not a career politician, all make him something quite new and radically different at a time when that is what a lot of people feel a need for, because of how business has been conducted domestically and abroad. I think we need him to undo damage done not just by 0bama and the Democrats, but by Bush/Cheney and the Neo Con Republicans also. Let's not forget that we got the Tea Party movement against those Republicans years ago already, but that it was basically swallowed up and lost to the establishment Republican party. Donald Trump is the next expression of that frustration and readiness for change.

Perhaps the Trump victory was a backlash against the Obama era that signified the rise of African Americans. This is the strength of America's two-party system and if one administration goes too far to one direction, another administration can fix the problem. The American military presence in Japan will be reviewed under the Trump administration, which gives the Japanese government more freedom to beef up the country's national defence. Obama reneged on the promise to close down one Okinawa base and it would be Trump who actually does it.

    Absolutely not.

The real issue comes down to who is doing this.

Do you remember the WTO "riots" in Seattle? That demonstration was supremely civil, until a group of anarchists came up from a state to the south and just started destroying stuff. Nobody in the legitimate protests was even SLIGHTLY OK wiht that. Then, police that Seattle had hired from out of town started doing their own thing. They asked a parked care with reporters inside to roll down their window, and when they did the cops filled the care with tear gas. In another case, a guy and his date came out of a restaurant, totally unaware that police had cleared the street, and they immediately shot him at point blank range in his crotch.

So, regardless of the FACT that the protest was incredibly peaceful, it got labeled as a "riot".

I know about this, because I was driving in the downtown area and got stopped by two demonstration marches that arrived at the intersection at the same time - each with a few thousand marchers. The leaders used bull horns to ask about issues and intent in order to decide whether they should join each other. They decided that wasn't the case, so they negotiated different routs to march to the final destination that was to be the center of the WTO protest.

Yes, there were some criminals to show up. But, labeling it as a riot was drama pumped by the press and those in favor of the WTO.

I strongly suspect the same is going on in Portland, as Portland is closer to where these anarchists hang out, and I've heard that they did come up for that demonstration.

So, what I'm going to be doing is debunking claims that riot was the activity intended by specific groups of those taking part in a fully legitimate protest. So, save us some time here and do a little better than looking for flashy video and accusing whomever it is that you happen to hate.

And I am sure that happened. There never a 1 size fits all.

But do you deny that in many cases of these riots, the "peaceful" protesters are marching side by side with rioters? Chanting for dead cops, dead white people, assaulting white people while letting minorities walk freely, destroying property owned by whites, etc?

The ability of marchers to take action against others who are present is severely limited. In general, demonstrations are intended to be non-violent. But, protesters aren't policemen. They don't have any training in how to attempt to subdue others.

And, it is irresponsible to label the group by the most outrageous act.

So, one attempt is to communicate intent as part of the call to demonstrate. These protests often take serious precautions against this kind of thing.

In the pipeline protests, those organizing the protest there actually require everyone who comes to protest to go through training in nonviolent protest - what is acceptable and what is not as responses to various eventualities. They worked to prevent anyone from approaching if they had not taken that training.

Even so, there were those who got through and did stuff that was definitely counter to the intent of the group.

Writing off a group who protests on the grounds that someone showed up and committed what should be considered a crime is a seriously BS approach.

We've seen that with BLM. We have seen that misrepresentation with the pipeline protests. We're seeing it now with those who feel it is important to demonstrate their objection to a president who has spewed hate against the disabled, against Muslims, against blacks, against women, against those who are same sex oriented.

And, we are hearing nothing from Trump to suggest he has made a radical change in beliefs over the last few days.

BLM has made an entire "movement" (if you can call it that) with claiming police are the bad guys, based on the actions of very few. So they should not expect to be viewed as the good guys, when they march right along side rioters and racists calling for white deaths. Thats hypocritical of them to expect such treatment, because they certainly do not let the police benefit from it. As soon as I see them fight against ALL racism, and condemn those who are next to them rioting and calling for white deaths as vigorously as they complain about the minimal deaths they receive at white police officer hands, or even close to it, then they can receive the benefit of the doubt. It would also help if they would publicly acknowledge when they are wrong...IE "Hands up dont shoot" which is still a rallying cry of BLM, but has objectively been proven false. Until then, it is clear that a massive amount of their supporters are racists who would love to enslave white people if given the opportunity. In addition to that, BLM rhetoric is responsible for spreading the hatred that has resulted in many police deaths, as well as this idea that everything that happens to black people is due to the evil white man. "White Lash" sound familiar? BLM started the stigma that has made statements like that acceptable.

As far as Trump goes. He hasn't spewed hate. He has pointed out issues that absolutely have Truth to them, and should be concerning for all Americans. He could have been more tactful in saying it, but that doesn't make him the evil racist/bigot that so many wish he was. He has the unfortunate position of power to have everything he says be massively twisted by agenda holding leftists. If anyone were to have a camera follow them around constantly, they would likely be viewed in the same light as Trump.

They are pointing to the police forces that have made serious mistakes in a number of cities, where racism absolutely IS present. The deaths of black kids is no more than an indicator - video easy to motivate action. There are constant patterns to police racism in some of these places.

We're fighting that here by having strong and stronger civilian oversight and by hiring chiefs that have proven to be those who fight racism and produce a product that minority communities accept.

Let's remember that ALL these communities that are erupting WANT POLICING.

Suggesting Trump hasn't spewed hate is just unbelievable nonsense - proving total deafness. Any of us can point to good OR bad examples and claim they justify messages of hate.

Go back and listen to the DAYS of hate he heaped on that Muslim gold star family.
Listen to his statements about specific women, degrading them on the basis of physical features when the issue is policy.

It's ridiculous to even attempt to point to the clear cases - YOU can find them simply by using a search engine.

If they don't apply to YOU, that is NO EXCUSE to ignore them.

These "clear cases" are extremely few and far between. And in most cases of unjust shootings to say its racism is far fetch to say the least. Yes they need to be addressed but there has been more harm caused than good by their anti white and anti police rhetoric. They project racism far more than they receive it. Actually, they project extreme, and direct racism far more than their own "perceived" racism.

They dont even wait for results of investigations anymore. THey dont wait for video. They dont wait for anything. They just hear a black man was shot by police and riot. And turn out wrong in many cases with no apology's or anything.

They are more harm than good to their own cause, and certainly society.

So you believe that the moment a black man is killed by police, before even finding out if its justified or not they should go out and riot?

Well, this is exactly why few takes them seriously. This is exactly why they are a terrorist organization.

And they have not waited any longer than anyone else. Injustice is not reserved for blacks only. Nor is it reserved for them more so that any other race. The statistics disproved that claim already.
