They could use the SSN of my dead son and I would never know it. It is not that hard to scam the system, people do it all the time.

NO YOU DONT. In MA you get a license if you aren't a citizen with the right paperwork. After that, registration to vote is a checkbox. Are you a citizen Checkbox yes and you are off an voting.

Call DMV tomorrow ... and ask them what identification you need to take your driver's test.

If you aren't a US citizen, you can get a driver's license, but you have to prove who you are.. like show them a visa and passport.

    What if he's right?

A quick google search, and I read that there are 11-12 million illegal immigrants in the U.S. What if only 20% of them voted, presumably for Clinton. There's your 2 million vote margin right there.

    I don't know if he's right. It's plausible though.

MA is a safe harbor state for illegals. Its easy for non citizens to get licenses because the idea was its better to have them licensed and trackable in the system than not. Umm ok, I guess that's the lesser of two evils, the problem becomes when the voter registration is a checkbox. Yes I am a citizen. What illegal with a license is going to check no, I am not a citizen and therefore cannot vote?
Secondly, if non citizens can obtain a DL in MA so easily, why is it so difficult for Citizens to obtain a voter ID which should come with stringent paperwork in order to get. No true American would ever be against that. Not one

    Driver License for Non-US Citizens

If you are not a US citizen, you may obtain a DC DMV driver license if your approved length of stay in the United States is a minimum of 6 months. Your DC DMV driver license will expire at the end of your approved duration of stay.

A non-US citizen with an USCIS Notice of Action, Form I-797, may be issued a temporary DC DMV driver license or identification card for the duration of processing time indicated in the notice up to a maximum of 18 months.

Non-US citizens on visitor visas are not eligible to obtain driver licenses in the District of Columbia.

If you reside in the District for more than 30 days and you are NOT staying in the US on a visitor’s visa, you must get a DC DMV driver license.

Use DC DMV's online Document Verification Guide to determine what documents you need to provide to DC DMV to obtain a driver license:
    • Document Verification Guide

To obtain a DC DMV REAL ID driver license as a non-US citizen, you will have to follow the process outlined in the Obtain a DC DMV REAL ID driver license page, at the link below:
    • Obtain a REAL ID Driver License

There are several additional points, outlined below:
    • If you have a valid out-of-country driver license, you will still have to take and pass the DC DMV driver knowledge test before you can get a DC DMV REAL ID driver license.

You will be allowed to keep your out-of-country driver license along with your DC DMV REAL ID driver license. DC DMV does not accept international driver licenses.

If your valid, non-US driver license is not in English, you must attach an English translation from your embassy or from a translation company. The embassy translation must be on official embassy letterhead. The date of the translation must be on or after the actual date of the non-English language driver license. Translations from companies must be certified with a translation stamp, or notarized by preparing a notarized affidavit confirming the translation was prepared by a qualified translator and that it is both accurate and complete.
    • If you have a valid non-US driver license, you will not have to take the DC DMV road skills test, but you will have to provide proof of your ability to drive.

Proof of your ability to drive can be your unexpired non-US driver license. More information on proof of your ability to drive is available at the link below:
    • Proof of Ability to Drive

In terms of documentation that the MA RMV requires, the necessary forms and proofs of identification vary depending on your age.
If you are 18 or older, you must bring:

    ◦ Birth certificate
    ◦ MA ID card

    • One proof of signature (only originals, no certified copies): ◦ U.S. passport
    ◦ MA ID card
    ◦ Lease or loan contracts with name and signature

    • One proof of Massachusetts residency (only originals, no certified copies): ◦ MA ID card
    ◦ Home mortgage or lease

The main overlying point is that such a vulnerability in our system cannot be accepted. What happens if it's exploited? You can't put the genie back in the bottle at that point. That's why I agree with retroactively removing birthright citizenship(or making the qualifications much more strignent than now to assure you can't just drop a baby here and call it a US Citizen.)

The so-called "Nationalized" Americans have proven another vulnerability through the system. Vulnerabilities that our Founders predicted. A country cannot allow dual-citizenship, or poorous borders. Because the other nationalities have their own objectives, none of which is the prosperity of the United States in mind.

Yet somehow, Illegals have obtained valid DLs in MA. How did that happen Margot?
    From 2012 MArgot
"Today, Massachusetts is one of only five states not checking illegal alien status when processing driver's license applications, though that policy is set in statute in only two of those states (New Mexico and Washington). In other words, the Massachusetts RMV is not prevented by the legislature from checking illegal alien status, it just chose not to do so. The result was an increase in illegal alien activity in the state, including an upswing in crime because, unlike other states where legal status is methodically checked prior to license issuance, Massachusetts voluntarily chose to become a magnet for an illegal alien population seeking driver's licenses. Such checks are easy to do, take seconds, and are cheap. The queries are done through a federal database, the same one used for the worker authorization program E-Verify and immigration benefit requests."

Much like our immigration laws margot, they only work if they are enforced. In MA they are not.

Sure they do.. Trump is dumb as a damned brick.

In terms of documentation that the MA RMV requires, the necessary forms and proofs of identification vary depending on your age.
If you are 18 or older, you must bring:
    • One proof of birthdate (only originals, no certified copies): ◦ U.S. passport or foreign passport if not a U.S. citizen.

    ◦ Utility bill

    • Social Security Number or an acceptable Denial Notice from the Social Security Administration.

On the other hand, if you are under the age of 18 and are applying for drivers license credentials through the Junior Operator License (JOL) program, you must bring:
    • One proof of birthdate (only originals, no certified copies): ◦ U.S. passport
    ◦ Birth certificate
    ◦ MA ID card

    • A completed Class D, M, or D/M License and ID Card Application with parental consent.
    • Social Security Number or an acceptable Denial Notice from the Social Security Administration.

It is also important to remember that JOL drivers cannot operate a vehicle with passengers under the age of 18 during the first six months of having a JOL license. In addition, JOL drivers cannot operate a vehicle between 12:30 a.m. and 5 a.m. unless they are accompanied by a parent or guardian.

In MA its not even a vulnerability, they allow illegals to get DLs and they allow them to vote through lack of any checks.

    - - - Updated - - -

Yeah margot, what part are you not getting, they don't check those things. If you are right and I am wrong can you explain how exactly illegals got DLs in MA? Explain to us how that happened if I am wrong.

Washington and California which have large sanctuary cities allow illegals to get drivers licenses and then accepts driver licenses as appropriate ID when registering for a mail in ballot. What's more is that in Washington the state is very republican or moderate except in seattle and king which are sanctuary cities. These sanctuary cities and the ones close to them have large enough populations to determine what the rest of the state does.

The authors of the study have dismissed the conclusion that you are pushing. It is in the article that you keep dismissing. Make up your mind. Do you trust Harvard, who dismisses your conclusion, or not?

They accept Birth Certificates and they do not need to be (US birth certificates) they can be out of country birth certificates. They also accept utility bills or bank statements/Loans as part of the identification process along with your birth certificate. None of this requires proof of citizenship. It doesn't even require proof of legal immigration either. So not only can legal immigrants vote but so can illegal immigrants.

Privacy laws prevent this kind of activity. Republicans have been requesting this information for years and either have been denied or told that they cannot obtain this information. I hope that Trump will change voting laws so that States will have to be able to prove citizenship of all voters or else be discluded from the election results. He wouldn't need a constitutional amendment since the constitution already requires citizenship.

no they do not, as long as your not connecting the actual vote to a person and only validating the ssn of the voter... we see people cause voting that are ex-felons and that vote twice, so this can and is done

you could never say if they were dem or repub voters, but you could show if the problem existed or not....

I agree with most of what you said. But in my opinion the Republican and Democratic Parties made the first two huge mistakes nominating these two. Then the American people compounded our two major parties huge mistakes by an ever bigger mistake of electing one of those two as president.

An issue I have with Trump along with many other politicians that make claims without providing evidence. Perhaps his claim is true but without source citation from an objective body of research it is just opinion. I for one think that our leaders should base claims off of bodies of objective evidence as opposed to anecdotally based opinion.

the gov would know, unless you never reported your sons death and officially he is still alive that is

    - - - Updated - - -

I disagree, they still can't vote without a valid SSN... and even if they found a dead persons ssn that was never reported dead, they are not gonna risk getting caught voting
