So are YOU volunteering to burn one in front of me?

My suggestion to you or anyone else with such an inclination would be to be careful before you do something in public simply because it is your "right". In deep water you tread.

You do realize that the SCOTUS has decided differently, yes?

Look, I just think this whole idea of stripping someone's citizenship over it is trivial. But the fact that the president elect has weighed in so ignorantly is telling as far as reading the tea leaves as far as what to expect from this buffoon is concerned. I'm a vet, and I don't give a rat's backside what another American citizen decides to do with THEIR FLAG. Sarah Palin wore it on her shoes, for christ's sake. Now that is what I would call desecration.

6-3 is not a split decision.

Flag burning is constitutionally protected free speech. Why don't you just admit that you want to put people in prison for speech that you don't like?

If you then attempt to use violence against me to stop my speech, I will exercise some of my other rights and "stand my ground".

"This will be our next 4 years. We will wake up every morning, check Twitter, and see what irrelevant topic our President has assigned us to talk about today.

Now, for the rest of today, we will have a bunch of liberal pundits go on TV and tell us why it's "patriotic" to burn the American flag, and lose even more support from disgusted Americans."

    lol.

Supporting the constitution and the 1st amendment is PC now? You cons need to make up some new words. PC has become a catch-all for things you don't like.

Once again the original ruling was a very controversial split decision and the second decision on a law passed by Congress was based on the first, its called legal precedent. The original ruling is begging to be overturned.

fair play, but it may be you who underestimates the meaning of that flag to me.
Just be careful is all I suggest to anyone who would prance out in public and burn that beautiful flag and all it stands for and means to some people.
People that may have lost a child, or a father or Mother that defended that flag. Irrational behavior might not be the same thing to you as it is to others. And yes, The day I see someone burning the American flag you will know of me.

No, it isn't, and dissent should be encouraged. Only mindless slave drones to the government would want people jailed for burning a (*)(*)(*)(*)ing symbol.

And hopefully someone won't have to defend themselves against your attempts to violate their rights.

Boo (*)(*)(*)(*)ing hoo. Those people died for the right to burn the flag. I am glad you desecrate their sacrifice by endorsing tyranny and INTRUSIVE GOVERNMENT, WHICH THEY FOUGHT TO DENY.

    Sickening.

I'm good with that, let anti American Democrats pee on or burn something else to get a rise. Why let them pee on something Americans gave their life for. I wonder why it's always rich kids and foreigners that burn our flag?

Ah, so what the President says is to be ignored. Hope you carry that on when Trump becomes president.

Which part is BS? That Hillary co-sponsored a bill?

The New York Times seems to think differently

    http://www.nytimes.com/2005/12/07/opinion/senator-clinton-in-pander-mode.html?_r=0

So basically she couldnt get it passed, but of course you dont care, you just want to attack Trump right?

Or do you want to attack me again? Or lmao again? Or claim BS again?

Do you even read the things that people say or just flare your nostrils and spit venom at a whim?

And legal precedent is now confirmed and established. Is there some clear and present danger that would require the court to against established legal precedent to violate the freedoms of Americans?

Let me guess, "it hurts conservatives' feelings" is all the reason you need right?

you are entitled to your opinion. And it may even seem rational to you. But again I repeat, rational is not of virtue to someone so offended by a flag burner that he or she loses all sense of reality in the moment. Hear me or don't.

the Supreme court giveth and the Supreme court can taketh away. I expect conservative picks from trump so the court could easily have a very conservative bent for the next 30 - 40 years after Trump leaves office

Wow , sponsored by Hillary Clinton. Definitely a move for show , probably. Why the left is so against a law prohibiting burning American flags.

This is why I want Trump to nominate Ted Cruz of the Supreme Court for his first of 2 or 3 supreme Court picks. Life is getting better, thanks Obama!

So you want justices chosen for their ability to make decisions that restrict freedoms that you don't like?

So you're saying if you see a flag burner, you're going to what, exactly, do something violent?

lmao. Sure. Go right ahead. Let's see how you do. This isn't the Phillippines. Duerte isn't president here.
