Eventually though the truth came out and the science changed, now its harder to cover things up with the information available on the internet and hide new scientific advancements. Just a while ago they converted a gas into a metal and its been verified so now in that area they will need to rethink the Periodic Table perhaps or add split classifications such as gas/metal elements. That's pretty damned amazing. And this was on many outlets for science around the world. I would say the modern age of information liberated science from elite oversight and opened up many areas of scholarship.
Left wing response: 'Oh yeah? We'll, your stupid.. and a racist!' 'Huh huh. Huh huh huh!' (Deliberate misspelling of 'you're' to further illustrate the genius of the progressive left)
Indeed, let us examine some of the traits of this "Fake Science" trend, & the basis that it is built upon. For starters, let's look at your first allegation. Who is doing this mandating that forces conformity? Did the mandate that the planets revolve in circular orbits force conformity? No. Some scientists questioned it and discovered that planets revolve in elliptical orbits. Did the mandate that the atom is the basic building block of everything force conformity? No. Some scientists questioned it and discovered that atoms were the products of even smaller things. Did the mandate that Newtons Laws were correct in every situation force conformity? No. Some scientists questioned them and discovered they were not universally correct. Did the mandate that the universe is static force conformity? No. Some scientists questioned it and discovered the universe was expanding. Did the mandate that the continents are stationary force conformity? No. Some scientists questioned it and discovered the continents are constantly moving. Your first example is demonstrably wrong. There are many more, & I could go on.
Your problem appears to be with 'leftism' so why do you conflate this with science and atheism and why are you bringing politics into a science forum section? - - - Updated - - - Why do you come into the science section pretending to be discussing science and yet, all your posts are based in philospohy and politics?
I think you will find that it is usually the folks on the other side that make this mistake. Home schooling will do that for ya'.
Science is often wrong. History bears that out. Most hypothesis, which are basically educated guesses often prove to be wrong when further tested. Very few peer review papers stand the test of time. Science is all about scepticism. Without it you don't have science but belief. The unfalsifiable AGW hypothesis has become more about belief than science. Opposing hypothesis and skepticism have been attacked as if heretics to a religion.
Ha, ha! Very intellectual. If you can produce any god--your choice--and set up a news conference, I'd like to see it.
I take it you can back up that statement with some facts. I completely agree, one should question everything. AGW is very much falsifiable. If it was found that either CO[SUB]2[/SUB] is not a greenhouse gas, CO[SUB]2[/SUB] is not building up in the atmosphere or that humans are not the ones that are pumping CO[SUB]2[/SUB] into the atmosphere then AGW would be false, but is has been proven that CO[SUB]2[/SUB] is a greenhouse gas, CO[SUB]2[/SUB] is building up in the atmosphere, and we humans are responsible.
At one time scientists believed the planets revolve in circular orbits. Later, scientists questioned that belief and discovered that planets revolve in elliptical orbits. At one time scientists believed the atom is the basic building block of everything. Later, scientists questioned that belief and discovered that atoms were the products of even smaller things. At one time scientists believed that Newtons Laws were correct in every situation. Later, scientists questioned them and discovered they were not universally correct. At one time scientists believed the universe is static. Later, scientists questioned that belief and discovered the universe was expanding. At one time scientists believed the continents are stationary. Later, scientists questioned that belief and discovered the continents are constantly moving. This process, which you denigrate, is why most people no longer believe the sun goes around the earth. It's called progress. What's your point? Scientific Theory Since you don't know the difference between the two, you are in no position to make criticisms. See my first comment. What do you think led to going from circular orbits to elliptical orbits? SKEPTICISM! Uh, no. The findings of the highly paid oil company "scientists" have been vigorously attacked by scientists who are actually doing the science and getting paid far less. But it is interesting that some people always try label scientists in religious terms.
Thanks for proving AGW is an hypothesis. Bet you don't know why it is unfalsifiable. Ending your rant with an unproven accusation make your whole post worthless.
Every scientific theory has its kooky detractors. My question to you is: What is your true motive for questioning AGW? I mean, I understand that you deny evolution because you want Genesis to be true, but why deny AGW? It seems so random. Do you also deny the harmful effects of cigarettes?
Which does nothing to answer my previous questions. To me a subset of the whole does not represent the whole. Guess we will have to disagree here.
Care to specify how I proved AGW is an hypothesis? Or is this just another baseless assertion? Are you referring to this "unproven accustation"? I herewith provide my proof...(my emphasis)
From Wikipedia (I know, not the best source, but hey, it's late): So, what I wrote in my last post still stands.
That was addressed in the OP: 2. Appeal to Authority. Fake Science believers have a pool of experts that they appeal to, based on credentials, rather than facts or evidence. 3. Bandwagon Fallacy. Instead of science, they claim, 'Everyone who is smart knows this is true'. It is a claim of universal knowledge, when the facts have not even been presented.
