Obama has left America in a terribly confused state. You would have thought this issue would have been settled in kindergarten.

Should federal law settle the confused state of the dems? If you got a penis, use the men's bathroom, if you got a vagina, use the women's bathroom. Agreed?

The fact that anyone thinks we need a federal law for this shows how far this country has fallen in the last decade. There shouldn't even be a question about this.

There is a rare condition where someone has both male and female genitalia.

I think the bathroom dilemma is overblown. If you are a pervert or a rapist a female sign on the door isn't going to stop you.

Biologically you are correct but how are you going to enforce it? Having an HD ultrasound device at the door.
Or will the Feds state or local governments have to have Penile/Vaginile Verfiers at the doors to all bathrooms. Since we have visitors and new immigrants here who may not read English will we have to have international picture signs with a Vagina on the women's room door and of course a depiction of a male dsexual organ with a red line through it?

Just think if you can sell the Trump Tool on your "idea" that could create 10,000,000 jobs.

We would need Bathroom checkers called Vagineistad and Penileistad to verify that the correct gender uses the proper bathroom.

The Social Conservative activist judges have been accused of snooping up the V cave of all women regarding their quest to outlaw abortions and birth control but Obama's admissistration did crawl into the toilets of Americans on theTransgenderist issue.

I bought of another issue with the toilet use argument. With the proliferation of those service dogs ( I have nothing against blind people having one) with everyone claiming they need a service for fear of walking, or fear of living blah blah blah .. What if a woman has a service dog and the dog is a male ( not fixed still has his hangers) should the female be allowed to bring him into the women's bathroom? Reverse question for a male having a female service dog?

No. We don't need the federal government nanny telling us where to pee.

DNA testing early should determine which you truly are then remove whichever one is inappropriate.

Liberals are self admittedly hypocritical on this issue. They want to allow a transgender Der male to use the female bathroom because that makes him comfortable. But they do not care if it makes the females and children uncomfortable. Hypocrisy at its finest.

Why is the transgender so bigoted he would be uncomfortable around men?

Indeed, the lefts lack of logic is insane.

That is my solution, more or less. I do not think we need a federal law for adults, but we for the public schools.

In the adult world, which bathroom we use is really pretty immaterial. We have matured enough that we can supervise ourselves well enough to keep it from being an issue.

In schools, however, there are liability nightmares around every corner simply because schools are full of people with unfinished brains, volatile hormones, inadequate experience, and imperfect impulse control. To mix different varieties of uncovered genitalia in the middle of it all is asking for trouble of all kinds

I am pretty sure most parents, students, teachers, and school administrators simply do not want unclothed "willies" in the same room with uncovered "hoo-hoos".

As a former teacher, I can vouch for how difficult/impossible it is to adequately supervise bathrooms and locker rooms. I would never want to be in the same room as an undressed kid of the opposite sex for fear of a glance being misunderstood, for fear of making kids even more uncomfortable than nudity already makes them, and for fear of being an easy target of career-destroying teen mischief, parent reaction, and media frenzy.

As a parent, I always had concerns about poor teen judgment. As a former teenage boy, I can guarantee that some hetero teen boy somewhere in America is planning to come out of the closet as a lesbian simply so he can shower with the girls. Trying to arbitrate that would be a nightmare for either a principal or a judge.

If no harm is caused either way then what does it matter? If harm is being caused then specifically what harm is being caused to others?

What about people's psychological discomfort? Physical arm isn't the only thing that matters.

Discomfort is not synonymous with harm. We have no reasonable expectation of comfort when in public and that is why I champion tolerance of harmless action and things.

What about animal welfare laws? People hurting animals caused citizens no physical harm but they still petitioned their law-makers to pass animal protection laws.

Psychological motivations can sometimes be an impetus behind policy changes.

Limiting my argument to the OP which is about humans, not humans and other species of the animal kingdom.

Not sure how this applies to the OP. Can you clarify?

I was just giving you an example where laws were changed due to people's psychological reactions. No physical harm was ever present in the case of animal abuse but people still got laws changed.

Harm is not limited to the physical in humans.

Huh? Not sure what you are trying to say. But anyway...physical harm should not be the only determinant in whether something should be allowed by law. This is my point.

I agree. Do you see psychological discomfort as being synonymous with harm? If not then what is our disagreement?

No I do not believe psychological discomfort is the same as physical harm. However I also believe psychological reactions/reasons can sometimes also be the force behind policy changes.

I am not sure what we are arguing about anymore, lol.
