Why are women currently so anxious to get their breasts out in public? This is from a while back: http://www.newscrunch.in/2016/07/viral-truth-brazilian-minister-manuela.html Then this, err, "impressive" woman posted this on facebook... http://www.scarymommy.com/facebook-deactivates-account-after-tandem-wet-nursing-photo-posted/ ...and got banned. Of course, outraged global meltdown apparently ensued. Why are women suddenly so anxious to breastfeed in the most public places possible?
Jim, I had heard that many of the lads in the UK are queer? Is that true? Is that why a gals breasts and big milky nipples offend you? In the US when a hetero guy sees a gal with her breasts out most of them want a little sip for themselves. I can tell you my complaint is the gals are too conservative. They use towels to cover up their breasts. I saw a homosexual model that was hired for some soft porn shots. He had to model with a gal and handle her breasts. He handled them things like they were time bombs going to go off in his face any minute...sickening.
It may come as a surprise, but females have been feeding their young since we were amoeba (or rather, not long after). I have no idea why doing so was ever even remotely a blip on the problem radar. Humans can be very twisted and weird.
Actually, a very long time after, Crank. Like, say, six million years. Very simple, actually. Women didn't want to expose their private parts to complete strangers. How twisted and weird was that?!
The big question is "why shouldn't they"? Baby is hungry - why not feed it? Saves sitting next to a screaming kid if nothing else. Most women who breastfeed in public use a shawl so you cannot see anything and if you did - BIG WOPPING DEAL!! It is a natural clean function A better question is why are so many men sending dick photos to women they have just met? - - - Updated - - - Yeah but NZ is a bit like here - we see it, we shrug and we move on. No biggie
six million years is a blip in the scheme of things. my point exactly. Meantime, breasts are not 'private', they're food source for infants. They ought be no more alarming or disconcerting than an elbow. We are the aberration, public breastfeeding isn't. It's been done in ALL CULTURES, throughout ALL OF HISTORY. - - - Updated - - - Twisted and weird, like I said. Grown men SHOULD be able to separate sexuality from breastfeeding.
Is harm being caused to anyone? If yes, then what harm is being caused? If no, then why should we care?
No no. Nobody's saying they're "alarming" or "disconcerting". That's a red herring. Tell me, why are there public urinals for men? Even in large cities, there are small cubicles in public squares, where men can drop it out and have a "wee", ( previous term was censored), virtually in public. But not quite in public, since the cubicles are cleverly designed to provide privacy with a minimum of impact on their surroundings. Men turn their backs. So, are penises "alarming" or "disconcerting"? No. Are penises only used for sex? No. Is urination a perfectly normal natural function? Yes. But we have to hide our dicks if we do it in public. I think, in the interests of gender equality, the next time I'm out in public and need to take a leak, I'll just do it right there in the street.
The whole breastfeeding movement started after a mother was kicked out of a restaurant for breastfeeding in public. The real issue is nudity and it's rather pornographic to see young mums in the 20s breastfeeding in public for everyone around to see. Preferably, there should a breastfeeding room at every shopping mall.
You're hardly worth replying to but you obviously need things explained, so... Try to grasp this. Feeding babies by breast does not require the breast to be brought out and exposed. Peeing by penis does require the penis to be brought out. But men voluntarily choose to keep it out of direct sight. Why do we? Well, it's simple, plain, good manners. Good manners requires that you don't do anything that obliges other people to adjust themselves in any way for your benefit. We don't make it necessary for women to look away in case they get a glimpse of a stranger's genitals. Why shouldn't they reciprocate? It's very simple when you think about it.
About 3% of people are gay. This goes for everywhere. And I didn't saying anything about being offended. However, your desire for breast milk is one where we part company. Aside from your posturing (don't think I didn't expect that kind of a response from someone), this attitude - which I'm not disputing - is the polar opposite of what the feminists who get off on making their public social justice point think they're achieving. They think they're getting respect from men. What they're actually getting in spades is eyes on their bodies - "respect", if it exists at all here, is only gratitude for the eyeful of flesh. Loads of men try to wave their feminist credentials around, try to convince women how modern, emancipated and "feminine" they are. Personally, I don't buy it. I think they're just trying to impress. I don't think men are in the slightest different now that they're flying around in space to when they were living in caves. I mean, can we be honest here, folks? When you look at the photo of the Facebook girl with her breasts out, what are you thinking? "Aww shucks, how responsible, how maternal, how natural, how good she is to push for women's right to bare her breasts in public, and what a pair of baby cutie pies she's taking care of", or are you fantasising about her nudity? I have to confess I'm in the latter camp. So hang me.
Yes. And those who are pushing for it on the basis that it's merely a feeding function are ignoring, (deliberately), the fact that breasts are also implicated in sexual arousal for most women.
Almost all primary societies have been able to separate sex from the primary function of both breasts and penises, and have therefore been comfortable with both on show. That has been the majority human position for the majority of human history. Again, we are the aberration.
Unless you're 8 years old, human males and females are capable of adjusting their responses to the context of use. If you are not capable of doing so, then you're effectively more primitive than primitive peoples ... who ARE capable of doing so.
Tell me something I don't know! Do you deny that breasts can be involved in sexual arousal and even orgasm?
Yes, the issue is indirectly 'nudity' - because some people are unsettled by it. The issue therefore, belongs to them. - - - Updated - - - what does any of that have to do with the primary purpose of breasts?
