Wow. You know what Don? You are the commander-in-chief, and whether or not the mission was planned under another administration, it was executed under yours, and to say the military wanted to do it and it was planned under Obama seems to me to be the coward's way out. Selling out the generals to try to escape any perceived responsibility is noy way to lead. Stand up, take your lumps, realize that military personnel will die under your command. Trying to shift the blame shows exactly what a (*)(*)(*)(*) poor leader you are. http://nypost.com/2017/02/28/trump-blames-military-for-botched-raid-that-killed-seal/ President Trump on Tuesday blamed the military for the death of Chief Petty Officer William Ryan Owens, a Navy SEAL who was killed in a Jan. 29 botched raid on Islamic terrorists in Yemen. During an interview on Fox n Friends, the commander-in-chief repeatedly said they meaning the military were at fault for the death of Owens, whose dad, Bill, refused to appear with Trump when his sons body was returned to the US. This was a mission that was started before I got here. This was something they wanted to do, Trump said. They came to me, they explained what they wanted to do. The generals who are very respected, my generals are the most respected that weve had in many decades, I believe. And they lost Ryan, he added.
I wonder what the over/under is on Trump ever uttering the words 'It was my fault' or 'I take full responsibility'?
It was the leftovers from the Obama admin who leaked word of the upcoming raid in Yemen, our boys literally walked into an ambush. They wanted Trump to look bad in his first military OP.
I must say, that is perhaps one of the most disgusting, horrifically partisan, nonsensical accusations I have ever heard.
Funny how the same people who scream Trump was at fault for this death deny Obama was at fault for the most SEALS lost at once in US history. http://www.foxnews.com/world/2011/0...-31-americans-killed-in-helicopter-crash.html
Wow. Made up people spawned in the bowels of defending Trump's idiocy? Why, which people were those saying that an accident was not Obama's "fault", though is seems painfully (*)(*)(*)(*)ing obvious the president did not cause the accident, whilst screaming Trump was at fault Put it out there. Let's see a (*)(*)(*)(*)ing link to these people. Support your allegation with fact. I mean, I know you are totally making it up, but try to support it. Please, just try.
And your proof of this is, what? With a source link, please. Otherwise, and as usual, you're full of crap. Regards, Jason Bourne
Makes no difference since it occurred on Trump's watch. He claimed he had respected generals working with him so what happened?
Blaming Trump for this is ridiculous. The POTUS acts on information given to him by the military leaders. They ask for a recommendation and they make the decision. I don't blame Carter for the botched mission in the desert, no more than I blame Obama for the Seals lost under his watch. The Potus approves the goal of the mission, not the method. Military personnel die every day under the "watch" of the commander in chief. Blaming the guys who approves the mission, and not those who planned it is just political BS And if you really want to get it right, Obama is the one who approved the goal, Trump just said go.......
What is it with leaders these days? We just had a president who blamed everybody and anybody when something went wrong or stated he just read about it in the news. Now this with Trump. What this country needs is another Harry S. Truman, the buck stops here president.
I did not blame Trump for this. It happened. This is what happens when we fight. Sometimes people die. I think anyone, left or right, blaming Trump for the death of this man while in combat is silly. However, for Trump to try and pass the buck rather than stand the (*)(*)(*)(*) up and be a leader shows what a sniveling coward he is.
I asked the same thing about Obama, to be fair. I always just wanted to hear one time "ok guys, I (*)(*)(*)(*)ed up". Instead we got "It was the Republicans! or Bush!". We'll see how Trump plays out.
The worst part about this is how public a successful or failed mission has become with special operations. Wtf? I get that the public knows about SEAL's but their operations should be classified regardless of how good of a show or movie it may make for. Interestingly enough, Army Delta operators have managed to stay out of the spotlight.
Trump blaming the military is fake news when you get down to essence of it. Who out there thinks Trump is a weenie Commander in Chief who uses the military like a Roman Emperor and then disrespects them? That's not real it's people like me making stuff up. It's all propaganda on both sides be careful what you believe.
Yeah. Trump saying stupid (*)(*)(*)(*) on national (*)(*)(*)(*)ing TV is fake. It is not real. It never happened. Trump is beyond reproach and anything that Trump says, that we all know he said, is fake when it makes him look like an idiot.
Sorry, but Obama did not want boots on the ground in Yemen and quit passing the buck because this lies at Trump's feet and no one else's...period! He's even lying about the "tremendous information" he claims they got from the mission.
“This was a mission that was started before I got here. This was something they wanted to do,” Trump said. “They came to me, they explained what they wanted to do. The generals — who are very respected, my generals are the most respected that we’ve had in many decades, I believe. And they lost Ryan,” he added. He tells the truth and you guys cant handle it.
