Great news!! as i predicted oil prices go down, down and down, my a question , how long can countries - gas stations Saudi Arabia, Muscovy, Iraq , Kuwait , United Arab Emirates , Nigeria, Algeria, Venezuela survive (literally ) with such low oil- gas prices (which will stay low forever) ?

    "
Oil futures sank by more than 5% Wednesday to post the lowest finish of the year after U.S. government data revealed a weekly jump in crude supplies that lifted total ions inventories to another record.

The plunge came even as representatives from the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries this week touted high compliance among the output-cut agreement participants since the start of the year. OPEC Secretary-General Mohammed Barkindo said Tuesday, at a conference in Houston, that the commitment among output cut pact countries “remains high.”

But in U.S., which isn’t part of the pact, the latest data revealed that crude production last week reached a more than one-year high."http://www.marketwatch.com/story/oi...us-supply-rises-china-demand-wanes-2017-03-08

Every second word you say on this forum is Muscovy. What's with the revisionist naming?

You dream of the impossible again. And I again......
..... I have to disappoint you. Lower oil prices will strengthen Russia.

Quite hard to regulate oil prices when there are two bodies producing oil,
the OPEC and the Non-OPEC ones and the car/machine manufacturer's nowadays do have their own race for fuel efficiency. Muscovy needs to make another means of trade, it's time to consult the EU. ;)

Russia have a land mass of I-can't-even-pronounce, that big. And believe me they have millions of tons of other resources. Gas, water, minerals, you name it. Didn't the low prices affect Russian economy? Yes, it pretty much did, but not that alone, that affect was created along with other EU and US sanctions. They still be hosting 2018 World Cup and that's going to be another big source of income. I think the drop in oil prices will make them more focusing on other fields, like research&development in "tech". I wouldn't be surprised if they come up with new phones or tablets in the coming up years. Global power dude, either we like it or not, that's what Russia is...

Great news. I hope the ruble will slow down. The high ruble rate is a problem for Russia. Recently, the Russian central bank made great efforts to stop the growth of the ruble. I hope low oil prices will help.

Recently, the Russian central bank made great efforts to stop the growth of the ruble.
I do not understand why some idiots think that low oil prices negatively affect the Russian economy.
Maybe they still live stereotypes about Russia. But now for Russia, low oil prices are good. High oil prices strengthen the ruble, but this is not profitable. Now in Russia there is a development of domestic production of goods, agricultural products and services. Many jobs are created. It is very good. In addition, the low ruble rate increases the competition of Russian goods in foreign markets. For example, the arms market. Due to the low ruble exchange rate, Russia dethrones, for example, Americans from food ranks in Africa and even in South America. For example in Mexico.
More recently, the strengthening of the ruble was a big problem. The central bank bought the dollars on a massive scale in order to stop the Growth of the ruble. Now came the rescue - low oil prices. I hope this will help to stop the Growth of the ruble.

I don't know if Russia has a fixed exchange rate system or not but it's true that low value domestic currency, if teamed up with a low interest rate regimes, always boosts all types of "exports" in the country and that eventually creates a lot of jobs, but brings inflation with it.
I agree though, this will definitely bring remarkable action to the Russian economy.

By the way, you should tell your guys to visit our southern cities more this year as I heard ruble is welcomed in all hotels :)

It's language of people that are members of the Putin Paranoid Brigade. In their world Putin/Russia is the USSR, pressing forward with the communist revolution and world domination, but without the communist revolution as the ideological motive. Since Russia is capitalist now, and the nation embraced Christianity again, the communist revolution and spreading it by the sword will not work anymore, and so we must surround them with NATO troops and war mongering resources, and force them into believing they are under threat which hopefully will lead to war with Russia. Or as Patton said, give him the resources and he would start a war with Russia and make it look like it was their fault.

Of course if you made a list with Russia on the left side, the US on the right, and started noting aggression of each nation, it becomes clear which nation looks more like what the Putin Paranoid Brigade accuses putin/Russia of being. And it ain't Putin/Russia. So it's the hypocrisy here which the PPB is founded upon. Yet it is the most dangerous and irresponsible hypocrisy, which our earlier leaders would never have indulged in. Simply said the PPB are basically clever lying propagandists or they are just insane. Well, some are just victims of the propaganda which carries forth and gives momentum to what Gen. Butler told us, in War is a Racket.

What looks to be insanity, and is indeed insanity, is that we have been trying to take Russia down, for they were also on that neocon list in A New American Century, which was about maintaining US hegemony, in the 21st Century. We adopted this neocon driven foreign policy under Bush Jr, and have been on it ever since. One of the numerous factors that saw to the implosion of the old USSR was...guess what...? Oil prices. Of course there was little cooperation with the arab oil producers back in those days, or not enough, so oil prices back then was affected by the dollar. It's value, which generated a lowering in oil prices in real terms. Russia depended upon higher oil prices as they do today to finance that nation. And our gov't knew oil prices helped to implode the USSR as one of the factors. Is it possible that after years of high oil prices that the lowering of prices was intentional, and was driven by neocon foreign policy? Which would make the middle east NOT control production to keep prices up? For this ruse of the arabs trying to take fracking in the US off the table, is nonsense. For all that this could ever be is a short term fix on US fracking, or the middle east would have to hurt themselves financially here into perpetuity. So this ruse of lower oil prices hurts who the most? Well, Russia and Venezuela. Both are now seen as enemies. As they were when the oil prices were dropped, artificially, by manipulation of supply demand.

The problem is of course are the numbers of people who do not understand what is going on, and join the Putin Paranoid Brigade of Hypocrites. But it is the line which sorts out people, intellectually. On the one side you have the intellects which can be manipulated by clever lying propaganda, the PPB boys, and on the other, the intellects which cannot be fooled and taken advantage of. For the PPB boys will never look at the Big Picture, and this really is a problem with intellect.

The danger here of course is that what created a Hitler in Germany, the way Germany was treated post ww2 with those treaties, punished Germany far too harshly. Books have been written on this subject. Yet the economic conditions which gave us Hitler, could also be repeated in Russia unless trump steers us away from this madness, of increasing suffering within Russia. That we have people here who seem to want just that is nothing short of utter insanity. They seem to be screaming for this war when it would be nuclear. This is how crazy these nuts are folks and you better see them for what they are. Dangerously irresponsible regardless of the reason. Wise up .

Yes it was, easy to install, engines that were easy to repair and maintain and you could almost crawl in, you can't do that now, one can barely get there hand in to change a plug without spending an hour removing plastic first.
