Bah. "Soccer" is actually so much more than just a sport, it has deep cultural roots, is an important identity marker and can even help change the politics of a country. In our modern, hyper-individualised world, "soccer" is the last standing expression of extreme collectivism. Society might be fragmentated into pieces, but the stadium stands united.

I watch MLS sometimes and it's really kind of boring.
You should try the UEFA or the English premiership. :headbang:

Now, just kidding. I'm not very much into football too. I preffer(ed) to play it instead of watching it.

I personally can't stand the people who read those self help books that tell them to always be positive regardless of whats going on. Yeah I get it always trying to find the good in any situation can be helpful but people like that get on my nerves. Mainly because many of them look at you as if they have a problem with you being upset about something that would logically upset somebody.

I have a co worker like that and he gets on my last nerve and to be honest his very presence just annoys the crap out of me because of it. I've thrown that guy out of my office more times than I can count. It's like no guy, everything isn't always "ok", let me be pissed off because sometimes things do actually just suck, and by walking in my office smiling telling me that it's not so bad just makes me even more pissed off than I already was.

It's not just me either, this guy annoys every single person at work. Seriously nobody can stand being around him and I feel bad for him because of that sometimes.

Yes, absolutely. I have discovered through the course of my career, at several different jobs, that I can not stand salesmen. There are some decent ones, but, for the most part, I don't even consider them to be humans. Much like politicians and lawyers, they are completely empty, amoral, insincere meat bags that only care about themselves. What makes it worse is that they are usually very charismatic and gregarious, and a lot of people fall for their act. I could go on forever about how much I dislike them. So it's not you.:)

What could be gay about a bunch of guys in tight pants chasing a ball across a field and then showering together when it's over?:p

I'm in the same boat. I try to friendly about it, but it doesn't help.

Other: "How about that game, huh? That was incredible."

Me: "Oh, I missed it. Who was playing?"

People then usually try find out what my sport is, and I tell them my favorite sport is politics. It is a sport.

Parents who constantly sing the praises of their kid/s in while in company with other parents.

It's really not cool to sit face to face with other parents and say out loud how awesome your kid/s is/are. Anyone who thinks it is, is almost certainly raising a monster. It's one thing to mention achievements and milestones, but these should be tempered with the value it has to that child (as opposed to the world), ie, "it's nice for him/her because he/she worked hard for it" or whatever, but that's IT. Don't talk about how amazing the kid is in a general sense.

We all think our own kid/s are amazing, but few actually are. And those that actually are, don't need it announced. Boasting about your kids is no different to boasting about yourself ... yet most of us wouldn't dream of doing that. Anyway, stop it. Stop it now. Save it for the internet :p or your private conversations at home.

Perhaps it's worth asking why such people are deemed vexatious rather than merely comical.
