Funny, Democrats have a problem with this, but NO PROBLEM with musicians not wanting to deal with Trump. Strange how that double standard works=)

So he's not better than EJ Manuel, Geno Smith, Nick Foles, Mike Glennon or Josh McCown? There has been a grand total of 1 playoff game started (and lost) between the five of them.

    Yes, that's basically correct.

Hes not very good, and If he was, hed have a job.

heck, more than half the NFL, including the commissioner, hates Tom Brady, but every team in the league would hire him in a second.

Football is a team sport. Wins and losses are a team thing.

According to your theory, Dan Marino was not a better QB than Joe Flacco is today.

That may be the case for you and some others but in my case, if the guy wants his 15 minutes of fame to be that he doesn't respect the flag or the country it represents then that's his choice, now the idiot has to live with his choices..

I wish him everything he hoped for!

Who gives a ****? He's a mediocre quarterback in a fixed league. It's a useless thread entirely. Why does this even matter?

Those are not good stats. Ryan Tannehill threw 12 picks and still had 12% better completion! The only thing Colin is useful for as a QB is not throwing crazy interceptions. He's a running QB which is horrible already, and he can only throw the short ball now, he's lucky if he's a backup. All hating aside, he can keep the ball away from a defense, but he has trouble moving it. What is that worth? 1/1mil deal? Would he even accept that?

Brady is actually good and has the Super Bowl rings to prove it and large numbers of people are jealous of him. What have any of those 5 QBs done in their careers? They're total win-loss record combined is 74-135, with Nick Foles as the only one with more wins than losses.

Yes, that is correct. However, much of the emphasis on winning does fall on the QB, especially in today's NFL and if your offense is incapable of producing anything then chances are you won't win.

If you're talking in terms of SB rings, then yeah Flacco has him beat since Marino never won a ring. Overall stats and wins, then Marino has the advantage.

Fair enough. The 9ers were dead last in passing yards, but 4th in rushing, so they were 31st overall in offense. The Dolphins were 26th in passing, 9th in rushing and 24th in overall offense. Tannehill threw more picks and had a better completion% despite Jarvis Landry and Devante Parker on the team, the former of whom went to his 2nd Pro Bowl.

Here's my "all politics aside" assessment of Colin.

    1. He has struggled playing all 16 games in a season.
    2. Decent completion % through his career. Not bad, not the best
    3. Never really had a great touch down year
    4. Running QB

Numbers 1 and 4 typically coincide with one another. Look at every Super Bowl winning QB since 2000. All pock passers with the exception really of Russell Wilson. He's just a freak of nature. Brees, Big Ben, and Rogers are runners in the sense of evasion, but not looking to gain yardage like Colin and Vick.

There was one year where Colin looked like a pocket passer would be in his future, but it faded. He has lost his internal clock as a QB which makes him less desirable. Where would he go to be productive?

I wouldn't have him on my team, even as a backup. He brings too many distractions.

He made himself the issue and detracted away from the team. That is not the kind of guy people will want.

    This was a self inflicted.

He also has NO FIELD VISION (He can't check down) so the Defenses can read him like a book if his primary target fails. He's just no NFL winning material.

They don't want the drama and the distraction. When the owners were asked who would like to hire him, no one stood up.

He barely cracked the top 30. Those are fantastic stats for a privileged cheese dick like Kaepernick, but who wants a privileged cheese dick?

Preferably somewhere with a more competent offensive coordinator. Also, like I said to someone else, the 49ers were a team to be reckoned with under Harbaugh. Since then they've been pretty awful.

nobody drafted him in my dynasty league either, the HORROR !!!

I don't blame NFL teams if they don't sign him, but Its more likely about money than anything else, I assume he wants more than the minimum, hence the standoff.

ps, who gives a dam where a backup QB signs?

And they instead opted for 2nd or 3rd string guys who have no long-term record of success, based on the combined 74-135 win-loss ratio. Their loss. Josh McCown, for example is on his 11th team and has won a total of 22 games in his whole career.

49ers have horrible management. I guess Colin might fit as a backup in Cincy?

So how does the Oklahoma running back fit in this equation?

Here's what you're forgetting. The 49ers are playing the long term deal. Who's their new OC? Kyle Shannahan. The Redskins have Cousins for one more year and then they can't afford him. Where's cousins going to sign a long term deal? 49ers! (my educated guess)

-The 49ers are fine sacrificing a crappy season for some good draft picks (great QB draft next year too if they don't want to take Cousins) and free agents.

EDIT: Sorry I called him the OC he's the HC
