They could put him in Europe if they weren't afraid the stadium would get bombed when they had a loss. He'd get a big Muslim following over there.

First, I love Tebow. I believe he is a winner. However, he has proven across several opportunities that he is not an NFL quarterback. If Tebow had made the choice to play some other position (TE, LB, Slot) he'd be on an NFL roster today for no other reason than his value to the locker room.

Kaepernick, on the other hand, does have NFL QB skills but they're really only usable in the right system. That is, a system where the QB running is part of the game plan and a significant threat on offense.

His chances to be a starter are small. Other than, perhaps, the Jets, Browns, and Houston they are pretty much ZERO. Even those teams are not constructed to take advantage of a QB like Kaepernick. Each would need to completely revamp their offensive lines and schemes and I doubt that will happen for a QB of Kaepernick's proven ability.

I don't know his salary requirements the market for him would be in the $1-2M range. If he can agree to those numbers he may be a useful emergency backup (lord knows the Browns could have used him last year) or a situational QB (wildcat).

He used to be good, then became a vegan, lost 20 pounds, and became more worried with a 300 year old song than playing qb. The sad thing is, he DIDNT EVEN VOTE. Used to be one of my favorite guys to watch. Now hes just a bitch.

Kaepernick's biggest problem was that he dissed The Clintons.

“I mean, you have Hillary [Clinton] who’s called black teens or black kids super-predators. You have Donald Trump who’s openly racist. I mean, we have a presidential candidate who’s deleted emails and done things illegally and is a presidential candidate. That doesn’t make sense to me, because if that was any other person, you’d be in prison. So what is this country really standing for?” Washington Post, Colin Kaepernick criticizes Clinton and Trump, says he will keep sitting during anthem, By Jeremy Gottlieb, 8/28/16

You mean the Thursday Night games, too. The last couple of years many of the Thursday games ended up being one-sided ones and people tuned out when they realized it wasn't gonna be a close game, even I did admittedly.

Yes, this is very true. However, no one debates that some stopped watching because of Colin. That was a huge hot topic on Mike and Mike. They did the twitter poll.

OMG YES! I forgot last year's Thursday schedule. That was a complete load of games that few would want to watch. Even showing the games on CBS didn't help nor did locking their final game Steelers-Ravens for the division title to NFL network.

I dis-agree. Only in America could some "athlete" get a full ride scholarship to college and get picked up by an NFL team for hundreds of thousands of dollars per year as a starting salary to play a kids game. Everyone in a jersey on that field should be grateful that only in our country they have that opportunity. If they lived elsewhere in the world they might be cleaning toilets for minimum wage.

I personally don't know anyone who swore off NFL games because of Kap but, while I'm sure some did, I doubt that number is really statistically significant. Football fans are notoriously short sighted. If the Niners had gone 12-4 we wouldn't be having this discussion and Kap would still be a Niner.

Fair enough. I still watched even though I think he's a punk. I would never swear off the NFL.

Maybe but the top 20 soccer players earned an average salary in excess of $20m in 2016 (on a par with the top NFL players) and the 3 of the top 5 most valuable franchises in the world are soccer teams.

To be fair, the December Thursday games this year were played a lot better and more interesting, with the exception of 2 of them.

My bad, I forget about Pro Soccer all the time. I don't watch Pro football either.

Life is tough. It is even tougher if you are stupid like Kaepernick.

Not really. Soccer players are paid just as much, if not more than NFL players in Europe and there are a lot more of them.

Edit: Never mind, I saw you address this.

So apparently now Mark "Butt Fumble" Sanchez has a job in Chicago, and apparently Sean Payton of the Saints has considered bringing in Johnny Manziel.

    Still no signing for Kaepernick.

Yeah Sanchez singed a 1 year 2 million contract. If Kap would come down in asking pricr and starter demands he might get sn offer.

He was an ******* who bought into an objectively false narrative and deserves exactly what he getting.

He even stated he won't do it again. So selfless. LOL

I didn't watch as much NFL football last season, but I didn't watch as much college football, either. Why? WAY too damned many breaks in the action that lasted WAY too long, with WAY too many commercials and WAY, WAY too many promotions for other programs. There gets to be a point where you look up and ask yourself, "Why in the hell am I even watching this crap?!"

That said, personally, I think Colin Kaepernick is a hypocrite and a joke!

Why would I need to prove he isn't? He is an overpaid choke artist it looks like the other teams in the NFL are taking a knee on him. If he was a great quarterback, they probably would overlook his sideline antics.

The story is he is aking well north of 10M a year. He basically wants starter money while being thought of as a backup.

With his baggage he'll be lucky to get league minimum. He's delusional. Some team will pick him up at the minimum after the first round of casualties of injuries and he'll either take it or be retired. He's a locker room cancer, his team mates know it and leaked it. He was not well liked after he went into the tank and took up with a skank that effed him up. He could rebound, but my money says he will be an asterick in another year and forgotten fool.

The ironic thing is that three years ago I thought that Kaepernick might be a quarterback that my team, the Denver Broncos, should be interested in trading for. Peyton Manning was starting to have some performance problems, and there was no clear successor (and still isn't). I sure am glad that we dodged the Kaepernick "bullet". Whether the Broncos get Tony Romo or not, I'd rather see John Elway himself back on the field than getting involved with a pretentious, overrated moron like Kaepernick....
