By making it illegal an thereby inaccessible at hospitals would greatly reduce the number of murdered babies. And even 1 is worth it.

Then investigate to find those who find ways to do it illegally.

How the hell do you need this explained to you?

Are you trying to advocate that because some people will do it anyways we should just maje it legal? If so just say so, so I can destroy that argument.

So again how are you going to determine that? The woman finds she is pregnant - 2 weeks overdue - she goes on the internet sources mifeprostone and has an abortion

Who then knows what has happened?

And if you think THAT can be prosecuted then google abortion Cairns

So because some people can maintain plausible deniability we should just make it legal? Again, if you think that please say so, so I may destroy that argument.

You are trying really hard, and failing, to try and justify murder.

I keep telling you abortion is happening LEGALLY here despite laws within the criminal code - what part of that are you not understanding because I can give you link after link

Problem is that the SAME surgical procedure is used for termination of pregnancy as used for partial miscarriage - who decides?

Big one though is inclusion of any mental health illness as a reason for abortion - see one of the things that can happen to women is peri-partum depression. It can be very life threatening. All it then needs is a doctor willing to say "Yep I believe she is depressed" and bingo! Legal abortion

And if you don't believe that investigations can be conducted to weed out many of those who claim depression as a significant threat to life you are objectively wrong. If you don't think laws and procedures can be put into place requiring multiple doctor opinions, negating your entire scenario, to be in place then again you are objectively wrong.

There is a policy that can be put into place, man power and investigation techniques to limit abuse of power.

To argue we "might as well" make it legal despite how sickening it is to murder them you are exactly as shitty of an individual as you sound.

No we should make it legal so women do not die

Do you really think a 12 year old should have to go through pregnancy - bearing in mind that her body and the babies will be competing for sustenance?

A 12-YEAR-OLD Queensland girl’s heartbreaking abortion case is at the centre of a renewed push to decriminalise abortion across Australia.

The Rockhampton schoolgirl, identified by the courts only as “Q”, sought an abortion in April this year after becoming pregnant.

After asking for an abortion from her local general practitioner, the girl was referred to a public hospital. There, although a specialist obstetrician deemed it appropriate for her to have a termination, the health service administration applied to the Queensland Supreme Court to authorise the abortion.

That meant a lengthy litigation process that delayed the termination the girl was later found by the court to be entitled to by a month, and a whole lot of distress.

Do you really think that a 15 year old street kid can protect herself when pregnant - and if she has the baby - who will adopt a possible drug addicted child?

In typical leftist fashion you are using fringe examples that account for less than 1 percent of abortions to try and justify the other 99.

99 percent are done by full grown adults with no medical issues simply for the sake of not wanting to be burdened. You are still pro murder for those 99 percent, so you trying to "stand on the graves" so to speak, of the fringe 1 percent to justify the other 99 percent is not only dishonest but genuinely the signs of a shitty person. Because you are not concerned for them in the very least, you are simply trying to use them to further a political goal.

I've already highlighted that in cases where significant chance of death is likely, can be decided on a case by case basis.

Your attempts to justify murder are falling right on your face.

If that fringe 1 percent is your concern, would you be willing to make it illegal for the other 99? I bet you wouldn't. Because you are a murderer.

Sorry but I do not live in a Nazi prison camp and I am sure you do not want to either. It is disgusting enough to have to force women to have ultrasounds before abortion - particularly in the case where the foetus is so abnormal that it will never survive

And with the increasing use of Mifeprostone for early terminations - how are you going to prove anything? After all that is what happened in Cairns - and they were NOT found guilty. How many courts and police are you going to tie up in this?

Now this is just LEGAL abortions - the illegal abortion trade in Victoria became part of organised crime

    http://www.theage.com.au/articles/2004/06/11/1086749893570.html

And if you want to know what an unregulated abortion practitioner can do then look at the Gosnell case

Conservatives believe that all children are precious gifts from God as long as they are in someone else's womb, or Syria. Once they are born, or leave Syria, screw them

I can't say why I think Republicans are against abortion as I would probably, and rightfully, be infracted for flame - baiting, so I will simply refer you to Bill Maher's final monologue on conservatives from his very latest (April 7) show

You keep saying 1% but where is your data? When abortion is illegal the maternal mortality rate climbs as high as 13% and the morbidity rate is simply horrific

    https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2709326/

Now the ONLY person who is capable of making the determination of acceptable threat to life is the woman herself - are you going to take that decision away from her?

You mean Nazi camps that they used to murder innocent people? Just like you are advocating? Lefties lack logic so much it hurts sometimes....

You think it's bad that a female should have to see the baby she is murdering? But you have no problem with murder itself...more leftist logic.

Way to dodge the question though. Because you are seeing your argument collapse you couldn't help a Nazi reference though lol. So predictable.

No, a doctor is far more of an authority to determine a threat to life than her...what a totally obnoxious science denying claim. The stupidity of which is almost unable to be comprehended by any reasonable, sane person.

No I am talking about having to go through process after process to get approval for an abortion - and all that does is delay it.

    • Abortion law reform focuses on early abortion. Women wanting to have a family who have a fetal abnormality detected later in pregnancy are neglected in the debate and harmed by the consequences of current legal uncertainty.
    • Unclear abortion laws compromise: the quality of prenatal testing; management when an abnormality is found; and patient care, through obstetricians’ fears of legal repercussions.
    • Women carrying a fetus with an abnormality are being denied abortion, even when the abnormality is so severe that non-treatment would be an option if the baby were born.
    • Many women are likely to refuse to consider motherhood if they are denied appropriate prenatal testing and access to abortion if serious abnormalities are detected.
    • Current abortion laws result in discriminatory and inconsistent practices, where access to prenatal testing and termination of pregnancy depends on location, the values of the treating doctor or hospital ethics committee, and a woman’s personal resources.

Don't be afraid - this is actually a pro life you tube but it gives insight into why women choose late term abortions

An appeal to emotion, which is inherently a bad argument. It's anecdotal for a reason. It doesn't justify the murder of millions who are simply being murdered because women don't want to be burdened.

Nope...that, the underlined is an appeal to emotion..the video is not. It is Fact. Press mute though the music is terrible.
Plus I'm against abortion...but Gdanm...wouldn't even you be pissed if your mother had a chance to prevent you from coming into this F'ed up world if you were doomed to be screwed up, and even your own family wanted to abort you but was prevented.

You clearly missed the rest of the conversation where I addressed this issue.

But no, it's definitely an appeal to emotion. He is attempting to use 1 heart breaking incident in order to justify the murder of millions of healthy babies. My statement was fact. It IS murder, literally as factual as it gets.

I'm old enough to remember when abortions were illegal, when the rich would fly off to Mexico or Puerto Rico for a "vacation" and the poor would have back alley abortions and bleed to death.

Reality: abortions are going to happen whether you like it or not and whether you agree with it or not.
