Greek salad, lamb chops with quinoa salad and Brussel sprouts ( every time I see those things I think of flounder) and fruit salad with ice cream.

Maw Maw had earned her right to be catered to. I bet she was a great cook in her day. I love potato soup.

Maw Maw's cakes and pies have brought in thousands for local charities in auctions. She has all kinds of trophies. We usually cater to her, but sometimes her ego needs a boost and we let her cook. We just help her out a little. Last night we took her out for Mexican food. She had chicken fajita quesadillas.

The Wanderer is an irresistible fantasy - " I hop into that car of mine and drive around the world".
Then you are married with children and the magic wings fall off of the car. OTH, the world sucks when you see it up close.

Because " soft drinkers " like regular beer and blush wine.
No need for a liquor cabinet for dat stuff.
It'd be like a teen Lindsay Lohan shopping at Wal*Mart
    for a designer training bra.
    Did that CuM outright ?

But keep the Vodka in the freezer. If I go snooping for booze, that's the first place I'm checking! :)

    Try these:

I never put My Vodka in the Freezer.Probably because I don't
DO THINGS based on Peer pressure or what is fashionable.
I also created a great cocktail.
    The Foolardi Cocktail :
place a big ice cube in a smallish thick glass then add :
    dash of bitters
    1 part Cognac { a jigger }
    1 part Port { 1 ounce tawny port }
    Top with Perrier.

Here is how you make a Deckel cocktail:

    1) Open bottle of vodka or tequila

    2) Take a big swig

    3) Put lid back on bottle in case the swig hits you too hard. Wouldn't want to spill any.

    4) Rinse. Repeat.

Yeah, I prefer the swig method too. But instead of vodka I'll have tequila, with a little salt & lime.

Did it ever occur that Drinking should be enjoyable.
Instead some scarey game { drinking games } or unpleasant
experience.Plus one should drink because they like the taste
not just the effect. And If one can really like the taste and then
dig the effect they halfway there.
Granted that when almost anyone first tastes Liquor, especially
beer they probably feel like gaging.Kinda like voting for President
    for the umpteenth time.
    Same doggone thingy.

My kitchen is always spotless, my hands are scrubbed and the hair is tucked away neatly. I hate it when people scratch their faces or touch their hair when cooking. I don't even like to talk when cooking. You talk you spit. Call me Monk.
Have you ever watched these cooking show competitions where some of the cooks drip sweat like it's going out of style? I quit watching because of it.

One of our neighbors drinks some old Scottish liquor, couldn't tell you what it is. He can sit there for hours, sipping now and then. He really enjoys it.

So, someone picking their nose is off limits in your kitchen?

    You talk, you spit. Ahahahahaha!
I wont put candles on the cake for that exact reason. Everyone gets so upset. Screw that. Blow the candle that is wayyyy over there away from the cake out. Blow a blowtorch out for all I care. Just don't fill your lungs up with air and blow air and spit mist from your watering mouth onto the cake we will all be eating.
    I skeeve it.

One of our visitors once asked me if I knew how many times I washed my hands preparing a meal, he counted the times, it was 17 times. I can't stand when someone comes into my kitchen going in the refrigerator of touching anything when they have been outside or even watching TV. Everyone hates to hear me say..."Did you wash your hands?"

Not eating a blown on cake...nope, no way. Got a long list of things that people do to food that makes me want to snatch a knot in their tail.

Hand washing, God help me, is one of my obsessions. Our water bill reflects it.
Anyone for some Kentucky butter cake? Real bourbon and butta on top. Thought it would go nicely with the fruit salad and ice cream.
