Trump bellows about sending a "mighty armanda" and his entire national security team (what there is of it) all sings the same song, about the Vinson.

While the news reporters covered what they said at face value, and the pundits wrung their hands about the possibility of war, the USS Carl Vinson and company were steaming peacefully 3000 miles away from where the Trump Administration said they were, and going in the wrong direction.

While the guys on the Sunday shows may not have known that, it's a fair bet that the Russians and the Chinese knew EXACTLY where the USS Carl Vinson really was, and one or the other of them certainly told the North Koreans.

There are only two possible explanations for this.

Trump and his team are this incompetent.

Or, Trump is making it up on the fly (which is more likely since that is his MO).

It appears as though this is yet another one of Trump's made up ploys. This is the sort of BS he pulls all the time. He got away with this during the campaign, when running your mouth had no consequences.

But consider how different things would be in the North Korean missile launch has succeeded!

Consider also what the Chinese must think, if they had indeed moved 150,000 troops to the Yalu River in anticipation of a US carrier task force holding up the other end of the imaginary deal that right wingers on this thread are claiming Trump made, and the American didn't show up.

I saw Trump's interview with Maria Bartiromo and nowhere does he mention the USS Carl Vinson (or any specific ship, for that matter) or when "we are sending an armada".

Of course, when the desperadoes brewing this latest tempest in their little teacups are challenged with those inconvenient facts, all they can respond with is this:
