Why do you believe that Trump is not in violation of the emoluments clause of the Constitution?

    I don't "believe" anything.

    I know he is not.

He is smarter then all of us, we are not President.
He has more lawyers then we have relatives.

He is certainly smart enough not to screw up his new job as soon as he gets it.

    I mean come on, really?

No such thing as a dumb billionaire, that made his own money, not inherited it.

    You guys are a laugh.

Don't give up, hitlery will be president soon!

Trump supporters know that he is but he tells them what the want to hear and that's good enough for all of them. He will ultimately fade away with a nice fat pocket. As for the legality of his current financial dealings, it is unlikely that he can win in the supreme court and if he does, the US will no longer be a "free" society because there will be no checks nor balances.

Smarter than all of us? He's a charlatan, a fraud and a thief and that is not what most people consider smart...and speak for yourself. Compared to the successful people with integrity that I know he is a moron.

    First off, learn to format.

Second, he did inherit his wealth and if he had just stuck said inheritance into a general mutual fund, he would be worth more money today.

Third, you are telling me that you don't believe he violated the law because he is rich and powerful. Do you truly "know" that rich and powerful people don't violate the law?

There's no mechanism for that. Sphencter would take over as president unless he is complicit in the Trump Admin's corruption.

Not really true, at least in West Palm Beach. People's businesses at the airport are facing enormous losses due to their inability to use the airport where they have a business on the weekends.

W Palm Beach is also having to make massive cuts, which will mean layoffs. Just the life guard budget alone has been cut by $600,000 to pay for these trips he makes every week.

If money laundering doesn't get him first…

Why would Venezuela give $500,000.00 to Trump for his inauguration through Citgo just before half of Citgo was purchased by Rosneft? It's not like Venezuela is rolling in dough. They are in serious financial trouble, so much so they can't get medicine or food for their own people, yet can find half a million dollars to help inaugurate another country's new President?

That would be me. Trump is filth. But the truth is that almost all these bash threads are Hitlary sycophants that are still in tears. America benefits not a whit from them.

The clause was not meant for this reason and has not had a major challenged in court after all of these years. As far as is he guilty? I guess we will have to wait and see if there are enough legs to get it to court, then see how the courts rule. Doesn't change my opinion in that this is a witch hunt. The left are looking for any reason what so ever to attack Trump for no reason other than they dislike him and are sore losers. It has become rediculous, obstructive and damaging to the President's ability to do his job.

That's true for some, but even the red team in Congress is starting to express these thoughts. There's something there. Ivanka's trademark request with China is only nine months old and she gets them all approved the day she has dinner with the president of China. This process in China is slowwwwwwwwwwww.... it takes a minimum of 18 months, and usually 24 months, to get trademark approvals from China. That stinks and other things stink and will continue to stink.

Why do you believe he is?

Do you even understand the Emoluments Clause?

And no Person holding any Office of Profit or Trust under them, shall, without the Consent of the Congress, accept of any present, Emolument, Office, or Title, of any kind whatever, from any King, Prince, or foreign State

A "present" is a gift. See A DICTIONARY OF THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE IN WHICH The WORDS are deduced from their ORIGINALS, Explained in their Different Meanings, AND Authorised by the NAMES of the WRITERS in whose WORKS they are found. Abstracted from the Folio Edition by the AUTHOR SAMUEL JOHNSON, AM. To WHICH are PREFIXED, a GRAMMAR of the ENGLISH LANGUAGE, and The PREFACE to the Folio Edition. 10th Edition London, 1785.

A gift is not tantamount to payment for services rendered.

It is a nowhere case. "Trump could have used my restaurant instead of his own for the Prime Minister" type claims are laughable. Quite frankly, they have probably weakened their standing.

My fear is WE won't last 2 years!
    He is THAT dangerous.
For example, if Lil Kim in N Korea hurts his ego, who knows??
We have a so-called president with an inferiority complex, no moral compass, bad judgement, surrounded only by butt-kissers.. What could go wrong?

So it's cost free to host world leaders at the White House...or just a lot more DULL for the leaders visiting ???

Mar-A-Lago is an international hit, all visiting foreign leaders want to meet there, and enjoy golf diplomacy.

Pres.Trump has accomplished more diplomatically in a few months, than Obama did in 8 years.

Unlike the "community organizer" Trump has been on the world stage for a long time, and is far more skilled on it , than Pres.Mommy Pants ever was.

The results already prove this to be OBVIOUS....

I thought you said he wasn't a serious candidate and would never be elected.

If you think there is even a chance that Trump is guilty of violating the emoluments clause, and the fact that you basically said "let's see what the courts decide" is evidence that you do, then you should understand at least part of the reason why the left is criticizing him. A reason beyond merely being sore losers.
