    You're not alone.

Googling "millennials not getting jobs" only yields 25,000,000 results, haha.

Lol. When I graduated, journalism was the second lowest-paying degree. Only an English degree had a lower return. It's another thing you dont do for the money.

I did not mean to imply that other majors cant inspire passion. But if your reason for choosing a major is money, passion is an unlikely companion.

My dad is a chemical engineer, and my original major was biochemistry. I'm smart; that wasnt the issue. It just didnt grab me. I'm more of a science fanboy than a practitioner. :) So I switched to journalism, which was a much better fit.

No, you go into social work if the thought of living on 25k a year doesnt bother you. That's all it takes.

For a socialist, you have a really odd view of income....

100k puts me in the the 90th percentile in terms of household income. If that isn't high-earning, what is?

I suggest your standards are somewhat skewed.

Of course the libs will write regulations that require these useless degrees, which means they'll steal it from taxpayers. They hope there is just enough employment to keep the shell game running, until they get enough illegal invaders to displace them. Then their cries will be heard no more. There is a tipping point. So, if you want a future for the next generation, you'd better get on the bandwagon and help neutralize these liberals.

Once again, a broad sweeping generalization full of bigotry. You do know that making such fallacious arguments is the bread and butter of bigots, don't you? That isnt a rhetorical by the way.

To the barricades!!!!!!!!!!!! defend yourself from the next generation, after all, they are "educated" and "useless" and "elitist". Seen a few "generation gaps" in my time but never driven by hateful political ideology like this one. Just another aspect of the megaphone effect - loud noises from a bunch of empowered white nationalist "elitists". Yes "elitists" themselves only their "elititism" is derived from the color of the skin and the tone of the politics while intellectual's "elitism" is actually thru personal achievement.

So it comes as no surprise to me that you would spew such.

So much feel good pap ....

If you have the chops to study a STEM curriculum then do it. I'll pay for it with my taxes as all of society will benefit on average.

If you feel like you need a credential after HS and it's some BS major, I'm not buying. No loans. Pay for this garbage yourself. Ed major? GTF Out. English? I already got me plenty of English. History? Fuggedaboutit.

College cannot be a replacement for craptacular HS. And this is what I see in most all of the leftist (formerly liberal) arts.

The fallacy of proportionality. I agree that there are more than just a few in this millenial generation that have a very false sense of entitlement and its mostly the fault of an "indulgence in lieu of discipline" attitude of their white middle class parents.

Yes I can dispute the notion that no "real business person" wants to hire millenials. I believe the unemployment rate is kinda low. so start from there and look at the unemployment stats for grads.

Why imagine if we could simply erase the idealism of youth, crushing their dreams and making them into nice little intellectual clones who all think and vote alike.

Which is EXACTLY what the left has done to our universities/colleges...

That's strange. I didn't feel segregated, isolated, or punished in academia. I've been to parties reaching across a broad range of cultures.

So maybe people making this accusation need to look deep inside themselves and find the real reason that they feel "isolated."

By paying attention to the left snowflake explosion of the past 30 years, leading to the Brownshirt tactics of the current college left, who resort to violence ( when they have superior numbers) to prevent any opposing views from even being heard, ,etc., ad nauseum.
Complaint after complaint from non-liberal students about being punished, etc. by their leftist indoctrinators....NO ONE is allowed to veer from the Progressive Agenda.

    Where you been?

I went to college 4 years and have a year of grad school under my belt at one of your so called liberal institutions. Never once did I see anyone or hear of anyone ridiculed from having a differing opinion than a professor or Democratic ideas. Does it happen? I'm sure it does, but thinking it is so widespread that it is a conspiracy? Not hardly. Your post reads like it was written by a snowflake. Watch out! The boogeyman is gonna get you. Better find your safe space.

firmly rooted in reality. I am familiar with the far left nonsense. I find some of it as absurd as the crap coming out of the white nationalist crowd. Both hold minority positions but these days they have the power of the social media megaphone to scream bloody murder.

I think it goes with the need to pretend there are no facts, no experts. I used to wonder why it was so common for such regimes to kill the intelligentsia but when I discovered that one of the foundations of fascism was to deny the existence of facts and replace them with myths and a false sense of unity, I understood.

Oh I know. Our culture unfortunately puts too much stake in people throwing and catching balls. The ones who don't end up making it in pro sports, will likely regret the education they need to fall back on.

While I've "heard" some "schools" deny the dinosaurs existed, and reject evolution, it certainy isn't the norm. I attended catholic schools, and had a nun as a science teacher. She reconciled creation, and the big bang theory very simply by stating god was responsible for the event. The dinosaurs were merely earlier works set aside by god. Obviously there's evidence to the contrary, but faith by it's own definition requires a certain transcendent belief. I received all the college prerequisite science skills for admission despite the parochial (disadvantage?) setting.

Catholic church as accepted evolution theory for decades. the Big bang theory was first proposed by a vatican astronomer.

If someone felt "disadvantaged" by the catholic science curriculum it was the teacher, not the subject matter.

Maybe... just maybe it's because I'm not a racist xenophobic self-righteous intolerant dick who thinks society should raise me on a pedestal just for being a white male.
