no not stupid or uneducated, just some or many individuals that don't have the countrys best interest at heart and have no desire for nation building, and its fighting a war in the eastern part of the country.

We live in modern world and in market economy, influenced by global politics. There can be no guarantees that anything would go well, it takes work and a careful selection of politicians to keep things stable and prosperous, as well as to achieve that state. People just need to be responsible, don't trust politicians blindly, and work. And things would move for better.

I pretty much plainly said it - people need to be responsible, not gullible, and work. Aka not "work until they drop no matter at what cost" but just work. The bare labor productivity alone would change nothing.

I like the Swiss economy. They have developed machine building, textiles, pharmaceutics, energy, chemicals, food industry, agriculture, finance, currency, banks, insurance, armament, tourism, trade unions.
    Swedes are also good fellows.

Also, women in Switzerland got right to vote only in 1971.

But generally - well, they had no war for almost two centuries and were surrounded with developed regions, plus country itself is very compact. Not surprising, that after two hundred years of efforts they are doing well.

Ukraine is probably similar to the Russian Federation but minus the surplus revenue of wealth from natural resources.

Ukraine is no longer like Russia. We have chosen the Western vector of development.
Developed countries, I understand, specialize in banks, offshore, oil, services, pharmaceuticals, information technologies, etc. If Ukraine develops these areas, we will also become rich.

Current western development = huge government debts, public service reductions, pension cut backs, etc. as a result of poorly managed economies and in addition for Ukraine a future as one of the slave nations of the new USSR otherwise known as the EU.
Russia already has those things while having very little national debt. Don't know how much it matters though as most jobs in the manufacturing and service industries will be taken over by androids and most people will then not have money to buy anything except by a government allowance/universal wage.

Russia is a multi ethnic democracy where as in Ukraine the country seems to be split between a catholic west that does not tolerate well minorities and an orthodox east and south with (large Russian minorities) that makes the country inherently unstable in the form of a democracy. There is potential stability in diversity and Ukraine by joining the multinational construct known as the EU where national democracy and laws are subverted to a common central authority could calm down the situation in eastern Ukraine like what happened with Ulster when Britain joined the EU.

It is obvious that it is better to be an ally of Germany and France than Russia.
Australia is a US colony because it emits the national currency only after buying the US dollar.

Well, you still sound overdrammatic and kinda inflating the problem. If people of Ukraine will elect a decent president and decent parlament, and will embrace federalisation of country, with regions having some degree of authonomy, with huge minorities of ruthenians, hungarians, poles, russians, moldavans, romanians, belorusians guaranteed that their ethnic identity and their cultures will bot be threatened, with government cutting down the ukrainisation of citizens and instead of excluding languages from use in media, education and governmental bureaucracy would ADD languages of minorities in, then - I assure you, Ukraine will be much more clam and reliable place to live in. With no threat of new mass gatherings on Square of Independence, no sudden riots with whole buildings burning down, especially with people inside, no revolutions, coups and civil wars.

Look at examples of USA, RF, Germany. Countries that became federative at different points of world's history, and each after that for majority of history enjoys inner peace. Yes, there was a civil war in USA, for quite a number of reasons - once, in the past two centuries. There been and even somewhat still is a conflict in Chechnya in RF, but instead of beheading people it gets now solved by political debates. Who knows, maybe they'll even get polygamy legalised one day, or maybe will drop this initiative. Point is - with higher state autonomy guaranteed a whole war been stopped.

Same may happen in Ukraine, if government gives regions more autonomy, takes softer position on cultural diversity that country has, and starts working on rebuilding economy.
