If you wanted to have a con-con to ban the private ownership of nukes, I'll wager everything I got on a quick resolution with nearly 100% bipartisan support behind it, so long as the wording isnt twisted around to include a bunch of other crap like guns or something. An honest attempt to ban nukes in the Constitution would be easy.

In fact, the reason they *havnt* banned the ownership of nukes in the constitution is because they dont want to remind folks that most of the things restricted from the commonfolk are done so in an UNconstitutional, bureaucratic manner, with taxation loopholes and corporate lawyer BS.

My point is that we can't argue "it's the law" when the other side is saying "we want to repeal the law." The law may be against them, but it's not like they are going to care.

As for the first part, my bad, didn't read it correctly. The AR15 is clearly protected by that court ruling. It, however, basically just says that a weapon no longer applicable to a militia ceases to be protected by the second amendment (so in Miller's case, the old double barrel shotgun). It also extends to weapons such as nukes that are not applicable to militias even though they are current.

There is and cannot ever be a compromise with gun grabbers. They never stop. Any gun grabber that tells you otherwise is a liar...

I look at who is pulling the triggers in gun crimes, and focus my wrath upon them.

If gun control worked, then Mexico would have among the lowest gun crime rates in the world. Not only do they register guns, they only allow non-military weapons, and there is only one gun store in the nation, ran by the police.

Pearl of Wisdom: even the most draconian gun control does not work in morally debased areas where felons are not punished properly and severely.

As far a registration, I'd like to register all repeat violent felons with the hangman.

Well since mexico has no effective rule of law and is rife with corruption they are hardly a comparison. Try any other first world nation

Not *all* of mexico is rife with corruption. The cartels have been effectively kicked out of the regions where the commonfolk have disobeyed the govt and taken up arms in organized self defense :)

That would be unfair. Urban ganglands here in our 1st World Nation have M-13 and other gangs just like those in Mexico. Also the liberal Democrats that run our most violent large cities are no less corrupt than those across the border.

Even the united states does not have an effective rule of law. Many locations in the united states are just as corrupt as the nation of Mexico, if not even more so.

And those lcation tend to be of two categories:
1- locations that are geographically close to mexico
2- locations with the most similar restrictions on guns as mexico

Also know that the gangs are almost always Black or Hispanic. They are not made up of Jews, Native Americans or Southern Baptists Whites.

Just like you mixing in suicides with murders, that is just a way for leftists to trick simple people into confusion on crime issues.

Demographics are the best crime indicators. As they are all similar in the worst crime areas.

Source of the data? I can make up numbers and put them on a post, so please give the link to the data. I have no idea what all those numbers mean. It would help if we could read the source.

Your list is accurate. The state I'm currently in is listed. Just yesterday across the river, two thieves stole a car a woman had left running while in a store. They found her 6 year year old boy in the back seat asleep and shot him dead.
