And then neither does "In the beginning". Evolution Wins! Of course if Marcion had won way back then, we wouldn't be having these silly discussions now.
The Mosaic Law does not apply, but parts of the Mosaic Law overlap with Jesus teaching. Abstaining from unclean food does not apply to Christians, but the 10 Commandments overlap with Jesus (such as the Golden Rule). You really should read the bible.
True and false. Mosaic Law still applies to Jews as God made a covenant with the Jews. It does not apply to Christians. That's all in the New Testament by Jesus, Paul, James, Peter.
Meaningless. The New Testament (Biblical passages) defines Christianity, a person cannot accept and reject Biblical passages (pick and choose what they want to follow) and still be a Christian.
That's the same mentality as anyone who claims to be female is a female regardless of their genetics. People who make the claim that you made in your post are typically people who reject Christianity, and feel guilty when presented with someone who did not reject Christianity. Hence, the desire to redefine Christianity into something more in tune with their personal likes in order to assuage their guilt.
The only defense against the original post is the truth now if its a book of fairy tales with basis in facts here and there then fine its unreliable as anything more than a guide to morality and I argue in that ifs a largely a failure as that due to its clear immoral character in the OT and in large part the NT. If you claim its not a book of fairy tales in part how do we decide what to believe and what is a fairy tale again it then defers to my former point its unreliable accept as a moral guide and you saw my response. OR its 100% true and if so then the ball is in the court proposing its truth to verify its truth and I will take very modest evidence to say its possible prove the stories of the Great Deluge Narrative, the Exodus Narrative, the Birth of Jesus Narrative and his Death Narrative due to the events in them it should be easy to prove these at least they are huge events that if true would make the Bible rather likely to be more true than not true. I'd be happy demonstrating any three. For one example the Bible claims a census happened and all men and their families I assume had to return to their cities of birth, for the counting, so well show that happened where a census which was done as a thing in the Roman Empire ever moved a population around like that, there must be records and historical evidence if this was Empire Wide. If you can't again then likely the Bible isn't reliable and see my first sentences.
The two big things that Yeshua dumped from the Old Testament were the First Commandment about worshiping other gods (he thought that he was a god) and the prohibition against working on the sabbath. He kept everything else.
What I have posted is Jesus contradicting sola fide and Jesus is talking specifically about salvation/getting into heaven. When he says "only those that do the will of the father" Jesus is talking specifically about getting into heave. You agreed that the will of the Father according to Jesus is "works/deeds/actions" You just can not deal with this fact and so you run to the playground to stick head in sandbox of denial rather than put together a coherent response to my post.
Start with the NIV or the King James. Or read them both. Or if you really want to study, read a Greek/Hebrew/English interlinear Bible - but that takes serious time and study, and we all know you aren't that interested in accuracy. You just ask the "which version" question as an excuse.
The Bible According to Battle3. It must feel wonderful to be so in tune with god that you, and you alone, define truth.
I have. Many times. I went to catholic school K-12. You are trying to rationalize why you pick and choose what to follow.
Going to Catholic school does not mean you have read and understand the Bible. You may have gone through the act of reading in order to regurgitate on a test, that's not the same as reading and understanding. Its clear from this thread that you do not understand the Bible. Understanding does not mean believing either.
You are too funny. Don't you know that the KJV is a revision that deleted 14 books? The NIV has a lot of missing verses. For example: 1. Matthew 18:11 2. Matthew 23:14 3. Matthew 23:14 4. Mark 7:6 5. Mark 9:44 6. Mark 9:46 The NIV has over 250 verses with missing text. The Bible was originally written in Latin in the 690s. All Greek Bibles are written in the Modern Greek alphabet.
well, religion and bible study were required courses from grade 6-12. you mean reading and interpreting. because I've pointed out your rationalizations? lol and rationalizing doesn't mean understanding either.
The Bible was originally written in Hebrew (Old Testament) and Koine Greek (New Testament). You can get interlinear Bibles that include the earliest known writings in that language. In a book of roughly 800,000 words, 250 versus with missing text does not change the meaning of the Bible, and most Bibles annotate verses which are mistranslated, don't translate well into English, or have questionable history (such as the ending of Mark). Spend some time with the Bible.

I haven't see that amount of spinning since...the last time Trump tweeted something stupid! You don't get to define who is and isn't a Christian, period!
Ironic coming from someone with a binary mindset that cannot comprehend that not everything in this world is only black or white.
Rebuttal failure! Onus is on you to quote the bible if it can support your position. So far it hasn't.
