Brock Turner was not the recipient of "white privilege" and I think the nomenclature surrounding this needs to change. His judgment is not white privilege. It is an abortion of MISjustice, is what it is.

Deflecting it down to a racial issue is stupid. It dilutes the discussion and is not the issue at hand. Our justice system is the issue.

Black culture is to blame far more then a bigoted cop for their current status. Look at their music. Look at their fashion. Their objectifying of women, their abusive language, etc. The vast majority of issues in the black community are of their own devising.

 

He rapes a girl, he ends up with a pretty light punishment, and he wasn't the only white kid to get off lightly for that either. Now let's see if a non-white person gets off just as easily for doing the same thing.

Bigoted cops are always gonna be that way, with or without the presence of culture.

I think people are just starting to get sick and tired of being told how privileged they are, when they're nothing of the sort. I certainly know that to be the case with me. At this point, even comedy that talks about it just irritates me.

I can't speak for others, but I just want the entire concept to go away. Not be mocked or derided, not be used, not be talked about, or seen, or even discussed. Just disappear. This narrative ran it's course, and all it did was make minorities think their own bs behavior was acceptable because of "muh institutional racism and white privilege"

LOL, what behavior would that be? I don't think anybody is saying EVERY individual white person has enjoyed white privilege, but to deny that whites as a whole have not been the privileged lot in this country since it was founded is lying to yourself and everyone else.

 

I deny white privilege is even a concept. Smart, resourceful, resilient privilege on the other hand? Very real. It's part of what comes with being able to adapt to your surroundings and succeed. If more inner city minorities would go to school instead of peddling crack, you'd probably see more of them succeed. Fite me.
