A wall, no matter how big and beautiful, could never be as effective as a heartless bureaucracy terrorizing and destroying decent, loving families to convince those who dream of becoming patriotic Americans to stay away.

Liberty's torch of freedom has been extinguished and, now benighted, has become a cudgel.

Trump made it very clear in his campaign. He would have denied the Khan's re-entry to this country if he could have and would have deported an American born judge who dared to take a case against him for having a Spanish name. He is a hatemonger and his base laps up his vitriol

Conservatives are very strident about saying that a few mass murderers should not cause us to make the other "law-abiding" gun owners suffer, why then should a few bad apples among the vast majority of "illegal" immigrants cause us to persecute people who have been productive residents here for a long time

Seriously, these "there are no starving kids in Africa, and we can change the world with hugs" types should consider that there's more money to be made in Sweden than there is in America. Since it's virtually impossible to obtain legal residency there (unless you're the right kind of brown pet, of course), they can do what their Mexican pets do in the States, and just stay in Sweden illegally. This guy had years to do something about his status and he felt comfortable doing nothing because for an equal number of years people like you kept telling him it was OK to break the law - so he did, under the belief nothing would happen. You're as much to blame for his situation as he is.

The mother is a citizen who WILFULLY chose to marry an illegal, knowing full well what that could do to her family down the track.
