That happens when a person accidentally replies inside the quote box. The post will be mixed in with the quoted post.

Not sure, sorry. It seems to be autosized, but I am not sure. Let me link this. Hopefully we will have answers soon.

It could be because I had cropped the photo.

It was weird because it fit perfectly in the picture on my profile page, but just not in the avatar box.

I think profile and post images are autosized. Avatars have a preset size.

Photoshop, gimp, & a plethora of other image editing software can serve you well. Cnet has great freeware downloads.

Let me ask you this. When you are quoting someone, do you click "quote" or "reply".
Quote seems to be the multiquote option in xenforo, while using reply seems to quote one other member's post.

    Edit,
I just looked at that post you linked. Looks like the member uses "reply" at the very end of the last post submitted (which is the quote function now) to post....instead of scrolling to the bottom of the page to "post reply".

I usually just hit reply unless I'm answering a number of posts at once in which case I use the +quote function. Thing is, under PF.com 1.0, simply quoting someone without typing a reply was disallowed and the 10 char rule would prevent you from making the post. Under XenForo, it can be done. I'm not sure if that's a bug or a feature, but at least I discovered why it was happening. I really thought certain posts were being blocked under my preferences, or something like that was happening.

Well, I don't need all that. I just wanted a picture to fit in the box. I just won't fit right because I cropped the picture, I'm sure. I would have to delete the crop and resize the original image. I just decided that it wasn't worth the trouble, and I will just use another picture, but thanks! :)

If you see a quoted post with no reply by the person who quoted the post, it's usually because they accidentally posted inside the quote box, and then the reply is mixed in with the quote.

Yes, ty for the increased thread size. :)

Getting used to the new format and although I was glad to discover most features are available via my phone, the one thing I miss from Tapatalk are notifications. Any plans to add push notifications or is what we see the bottom line?

I stop getting notifications about thread activity. This thread is a perfect example. I came here to type this issue, and this thread had new replies that I didn't get notified about.

Is this happening to anyone else?

It has happened to me as well. Not only do I not always get Email notifications, but no alerts either.

It makes it hard to know if anyone's responded to you. There's SO many threads on this forum. Alerts is the only way to keep up, that I know of.

    I have two questions:

    1) As I understand it, the "Conversations" option takes the place of PMs. Is this true?

    2) On the right side of the Main page there are severlal lists, including: Members online, New Posts, and, Profile Posts.

What are Profile Posts, and how are they supposed to be used?

I read 10 pages of this thread and didn't see an answer, so decided asking would be far faster. Thanks in advance.

Correct, conversations are what we call a PM. To delete a PM, or conversation, check the PM, click on 'other actions' and select 'leave conversation'.

Profile posts are what we used to call visitor messages. Those are between you and another member, but not private.

    Thanks for the quick reply.

And thanks, too, for answering a question I had forgotten to ask: How to delete a conversation.

Ok, this is driving me crazy(ier). How do you cancel a reply? If you hit reply, type a little, then decide you dont want to post it, HOW DO YOU CANCEL A REPLY? No matter how long Im gone, if I come back to that thread, theres the post I didnt make. Grrrrrr.

Secondly, can you DELETE a post you just posted? You can edit, but can you delete?

BTW, I post from my phone. Thx!

Not sure how to entirely avoid the first part. It is something we may find out together, some day.
What I do is to delete the text of the not submitted post, just so I don't get myself into trouble. May be someone else has a better idea.

As for the latter part, no, no delete option that I can see. Had to sign in with the test account to see what you see.
