There's NO evidence of Obama being a Muslim. Only spins.

I gave as much "substance" as you did. Except my points are items that are widely known and accepted as fact, even by many republicans.

There are certainly legitimate criticisms of Republicans and Trump.

But none of them change the reality for dems.

I know pointing fingers is reflexive for lefties-but its not working.

How many more losses before dems figure this out.

That's true. Only I doubt you or republicans know the answers either.

Think he's got some great points.

Dems today remind me of the Occupy crowd-they were furious but couldn't explain why.

"Antifa" (anti first amendment) is the same but they are more violent and just call everyone nazis.

Being anti-Trump is NOT a winning strategy. It makes em seem like haters-which they are.

You know what I think is a joke around here? Kode lashes out at me calling me ignorant and then wails about personal attacks. Tell you what. Take it to the mods. They will allow you to call me a son of a bi+ch and if I say it takes one to know one, they will reprimand me and delete my posts while pretending you are will within your rights for such childish outbursts.

Several mid terms nationally, the last Presidential election, multiple gubernatorial races, state legislatures, and post 2016 in wyoming, georgia, and south carolina.

This is the largest republican majority since reconstruction-and as a result people over 50 or so will never see a liberal SCOTUS majority again.

We're simply pointing out how the slow-motion SS Trump train is going off the rails. Our agenda, such as healthcare as a human right, could never get passed in the House, because Republicans are in the pockets of insurance companies.

Socialism and the welfare state don't work. People eventually figure this out. Democrats are the very last ones, and some
know it but cannot admit that they were ever wrong. So they continue their Big Lie, and double down with hatred.

Most recently, they are tripling down with rioting and violence. This cannot help them, but they can't help themselves.

We can only hope George Soros blows his fortune and keeps on losing. Leftists USED to say "Republicans bought that election."
That was of course a lie, but now it's they who are trying and failing.

Its ok for you to admit it. You might even eventually strengthen your party if you say it.

It sure looks like that's where the leftist want to take us.

Back in 1860 one side lost the Presidential election and refused to except the results and 620.000 Americans died on the battlefields.

Interesting that it was also Democrats back in 1860 who said "Not my President."

    TOG6;

...It takes only 13 states to block an amendment...7% of the population.

You have a logic that twists reality like a pretzel.

Out of 50 states, all 50 would turn down any amendment to eliminate the electoral college. It was a corner stone of Constitution which would not have been ratified without it. That could nullify the entire document including the Bill of Rights.

If the Constitution were nullified, how do you know some states wouldn't vote to leave the Union like the crazies in California, or demand certain changes in their favor at the expense of other states--such as abortion, taxes, civil rights, gun rights...?

    Think before you write.

The Dems live in a state of denial; they blame us for every one of their shortcomings; they rally around the most annoying human beings in human history. Most U.S. corporations would NEVER offer a job to Nancy Pelosi, Dainne Feinstein, Barbra Boxer, Chuck Schumer, Adam Schiff, John Lewis, or most of the rest of those people.

They need to work on their platform and think about a serious changing of the guard.

I think Conservatives have a clearer, simpler message than the center and the left. Democrats have a large number of different constituencies that vie for different things. It's a lot easier to communicate "less taxes, less regulation, America must remain majority white/christian and don't trust elites". That's really it. A Democrat is whoever believes American life and government is more complicated than that simple platform. I think Republicans lack nuance and substance; perhaps the only exception to the latter is their tax policy - which whenever they can, they use to lower taxes disproportionately on the "job creator" class. That's their only lasting, substantive accomplishment whenever they hold power - and I think it was a disaster to cut taxes when we invaded two Middle Eastern countries, but I digress... that was fifteen years ago.

It's easier to just say freedom (in the form of less government all-around, rejecting the notion that any government can actually help the cause of freedom) and tradition (white, christian, patriarchal). It's easier to win elections with that message. It's easier to tell someone "all we gotta do is get out of your way" as opposed to "we have to come up with a solution to this problem". One of those messages is affirmative "You're doing great, lets get out of your way", the other is challenging "You know that thing you're used to? Yea, turns out it might have to change." I think it's far easier to win elections with a message of the former instead of the latter. And until Democrats can find a way to sound more like the former, and less like the latter, without shedding their progressive heart, their foundation - then they're going to continue to struggle.

That's how I see it anyway. People like me who vote Democratic vote less because I agree with a vision that Democrats provide but more because I reject the vision I see from the other side. I don't want to gut banking regulations, environmental regulations, education funding and pass tax reforms that inordinately favor the already wealthy. And on social policies, well, that stuff never bothered me. I don't care what people do in their own bedrooms so long as its consensual and of proper age. I don't care to dictate to a woman what she can do with her body. I don't care that religion is under attack by reason. I don't care that we are becoming more multiracial as a populace. The social issues always seem like more of a distraction than anything else; and tool to promote divisiveness.

    Manwithnoname;

    Democrats vote with their hearts

    Republicans vote with their heads.

Just because something sounds great and looks good on paper, that does not mean it should be rubber stamped.

In post #135, that wasn't you that danced around an opportunity to lump me into "ignorant" types for posting a simple truth?

Wasn't you, btw, who commented on my posts and then asked "what book?" You know, the book cited in the links called the Audacity of Hope by none other than the community organizer himself?

I really don't mind discussing issues with people, but when a man states something repeatedly and puts it in print, it must mean what it means OR the individual is a complete nutjob. How many times would you allow ME to misspeak before trying to convince the posters here I was two french fries short of a Happy Meal? If you caught me in as much as a single typo... the answer is ONCE. But, here was the chief spokesman for the United States stating over and over and over again that he is of the Muslim faith. Dude, wake up. You may want to access the links next time and examine why you may be "inferring" (you like that characterization better?) that those who heard Obama himself say something are ignorant when, in fact, it might be YOU, that is getting ready to prove their... we don't want to hurt your feelings.
