Actually it's the other way around. The purpose of the 'pleasure' is to encourage procreation (breeding).

You're tired old 20thC trope of people encouraging their kids to be unkind to gays. Hilarious.

No need to pretend that you'd listen anyway, is there?

I'm a naive fellow, but not that naive.

*scratches head* Are you having a stroke? You're not making any sense whatsoever? Do you even know who you are responding to?

Having a healthy sex life is also key to having a happy life.

These 'broader aspects of society' are basically philosophy, and schools shouldn't have gone there.

It's not a matter of 'treating them like they don't exist', it's a matter of using the limited time schools have to focus on academics. How can any institution, in 30 hours a week, hope to address every minor permutation of human expression (the only fair way to handle philosophical topics) even handedly? They can't. So they should stay out of it.

And childrens' varied future sexualities (which are not relevant at school age anyway) are private .. and irrelevant to a school. Or absolutely should be.

But this was never a problem until schools started addressing homosexuality. Or are you telling me that you were never taught about traditional households and lifestyles a thousand ways over through books and films or videos, and through academic material, as a child.

When I had sex ed, no one ever mentioned gay sex. You?

I was never taught that some people might be different in their feelings. I was as straight as an arrow. But I can see how it might really screw up kids by denying their sexuality, much like religion did me in treating anything but sex for procreation, as a sin.

I consider what they did to me a form of child abuse. Sex is normal and healthy, not something to hide and be ashamed of.

For me at age 10, porn was my mother's Sears catalog - the bra and panty section. But I already knew about sex and was game. And I went to a Catholic school. We were sheltered compared to public school kids.

Which is reasonable, since 97% of us are straight.

I don't agree with ANY sex education. And if schools mention adult relationships at all, it should be in passing.

I prefer the Asian model, where school hours are spent purely on academics (and a little sport). There is no mention of anything outside those areas. That's left for families.

Actually historically we do cater Christians, hence why whacked out people like yourself want monuments of any sort of Christian religious context to be torn down.

We are not going to teach our kids about being gay. You should realize how stupid that sounds on its face. If you can't see this you're a lost cause.

No focus should be given to sexuality full stop. The private inclinations of kids is none of anyone's business. And most definitely none of a school's business.

'Sheltering' isn't how you keep kids clean. Obviously.

It will be a depraved and dystopian world if we lose the ability to say some "lifestyle choices" and deeds are icky.

    1. False equivalency
    2. You're a hypocrite. Didn't just cry about brainwashing but you should also be able to talk about someone's god in school?
    3. Didn't you just say kids should be learning math? Okay, so gay marriage isn't okay but god is?

You just talk all over yourself.

If your kids have been exposed to this stuff (sex ed, LGBT championing, etc) at school, the best you can do as a parent is ignore it. Don't talk about it at home, because that only reinforces the idea that it's important (and it surely isn't ... any adult who wants kids to think about sex/sexuality is suspect, IMO). If your kids ask questions, just reinforce the irrelevance of it in a respectful way, and remind them gently that public schools do unfortunately practice indoctrination and bias. It was religion last century, and Progressive leftism this century.

They think we have to just accept whatever they feel is ok or normal and that is not going to happen. They are not in control anymore but there is still many liberal judges that are running America as if the Democratic party is still running the show. I say fire them all and fix America before it's too late.

This is not about being racist or hating gay people. This is about gay marriage. It is not acceptable to me and never will be. I have no problem with gay people and I get along just fine with some at work. My problem is with gay marriage. Every state should hold a vote to be fair and see how many people really want it. Gay marriage is wrong in the bible and I will never support it or any liberal judge that says it is ok when it's not.

LOL this is way to funny. Are you for real with this BS?

The divorce rate is the highest it has ever been. I think I read 40% of all mom's are now single parents. Many children are growing up in broken families which causes problems for the kids including mental issues. Many women do not have safe sex anymore and are pregnant before they even graduate from high school.

So I will tell my kids they should wait untill they are married. They will be much better off for it. I waited 29 years before I had sex and it was with my wife. We are very happy together. There is nothing wrong with waiting.

You do not expect me to take you seriously with this crap do you?

Unlike yourself, I have no problem with gay marriage, and I'm not religious.

My problem is with adults prompting kids to think about sex and sexuality. And of course, with schools expressing a viewpoint on any philosophical matter.

You have to feel bad for people who are so sheltered and isolated that they only know or understand one way of living.

Anyone who thinks it's better for kids to have lots of sex (with lots of people) before marriage, shouldn't really be having kids.

Let's not forget the Disney cartoon that had two male kids kissing. It was a children's cartoon for little kids. Are you ok with that?

It's a free country bud. If you don't like the school....go somewhere else. Isn't it a beautiful thing?
