Study: Obamacare Is Not Collapsing

Is this bad news for Republicans who claim that the system is falling apart.

Are Republicans going to be able to just repeal Obamacare without coming a with a plan to replace it?

During the Campaign Pres. Trump claimed he had the best plan ever known to man, he said all the top medical experts said his plan was great, wonderful, blah, blah, blah. Why hasn't he implemented this great plan.

 

I guess you don't realize things take time when government is involved.

Did President Obama and his merry band of democrats shove the monstrous law down our throats in 7 months or did it take a bit longer? No it took a bit longer to stack it full of bribes before it could pass.

I guess insurers are leaving the market because they don't like making money.

 

The Republicans actually had 7 years to come up with something.

This is going to hurt them badly in the next election cycle. And that does not make me happy. I have no interest in seeing Nancy Pelosi sitting next to Mike Pence at the 2019 State of the Union address.

Sounds like you need to address this to the President, he was the one claiming what he was going to do on day 1 and how he had this great plan.

Congress passes laws, **** takes time. Yet suddenly the left think all campaign promises should be filled in the first six months. It's disingenuous and it's easy to read.

All is well. Obamacare is functioning like a well-oiled machine.

 

1) Most objective non-partisan observers have been expecting the things detailed in the OP.

2) The Senate Plan is DOA. There will be no repeal without replace. And, there is no conceivable compromise that will pass with GOP votes only.

3) Unless McConnell is willing to work with the Dems (on some realistic tweaks to the ACA) Healthcare reform is dead until (at a minimum) sometime after the midterms.

4) Trump NEVER had his own "plan" plan to repeal/replace/reform the ACA. It was a complete LIE and PLOY that he used to get a bunch of undereducated/politically gullible/low-information voters to fall for.

5) Besides, Trump (himself) is too NAIVE and STUPID to even understand the complexity of the issue. Why would anybody take his amateurish IMBECILIC rants seriously?

Obviously, the vast majority or the GOP has resigned themselves to the REALITY that the ACA is here to STAY.

President Obama and his merry band of democrats also held a lot more public hearings and accepted hundreds of more Republican amendments (granted, it's not hard to do "a lot more" when you are comparing it to zero) before they passed the law.

Well, if the Republicans were less hive minded as you argue, then his approval rating amongst Republicans would different trend than what can be found amongst the general public.

But if you review the last several Reuters/Ipso Polls information, the approval rating for Trump by Republicans is incredibly stable - the exact same for the last three.

 

Because when he said "day one" you actually literally believe something can be done on day 1? You understand what a figure of speech is right? Besides Trump himself can't do diddly squat, since he can't write it and pass it all by himself, without support of the dimwits sitting on their hands for 8 yrs. Don't you think he thought like many of us, someone actually had a plan already in place ready to lay it on his desk on day 1? Guarantee the conversation went like this.

"Ok Guys, where's the bill to replace Obamacare that you've been griping about for the past 8 years?" You've been nodding and clapping whenever I mentioned repealing and replacing Obamacare. That's what you all WANTED right?

I find it incredibly fascinating to watch a new idea or phrase run through the left these days. It comes out in the morning and by midday every liberal in the county is spouting the same noise. It takes the republicans a few days to get most of their partisans on board.
