Everyone knows that all of the left wing college professors are trying to brainwash student into believing in socialism. They try to tell students that socialism would make everyone equal.

So the question------------professor ---- since you say socialism is wonderful, why dont you demonstrate it yourself. Since the average income in the US is $40,000 or a little less, why dont you notify the college you wont take any pay over that amount???

I would love to be in a college class where some idiot professor was pushing socialism. I would ask him why the people in Cuba are still driving 1958 cars. I would ask him why Venezuela another socialist country is a failure, and over 1500 people have been killed in riots against the government!!!!!!!

The only people who "know" that are the ones that don't seem to be able to master English grammar.

Instead of worrying about a typo, address the point.

Because, Socialism is for the people, not the socialist.

I agree that those College professors who push socialism should cease and desist. However, maybe they want the incomes to
dramatically increase, rather than everybody paid the same low wage. Usually these teachers have not experienced the experience
    of the real working world.

Everyone know that some conservatives do not believe in socialism.

The question is if you are adamantly against socialism why don't you give up your social security and medicare instead of complaining about the fact that there was no cola increase last year.

In a world where all were equal, why would any require more?

Socialist isn't about all pay being equal, that is communism. Socialism is that rich people will have a higher tax. Now, while professors are more likely to be liberal or socialist that doesn't mean all are. Many of my professors were actually moderate or even conservative.

Why should those who paid into something by force have to give it up if they don't like it and lose the money that has already been stolen from them? That's like saying, "If you don't like the military, then why do you get X-rays and use the internet when its because of the military that these things even got invented"?

Because everyone would live like the underclass.

Higher taxes to take more of their money and redistribute it to others. This too is a fairy tale, that no communist or socialist will ever follow because the leaders always get massively richer in these countries while the poor get poorer.

So you are saying that in Europe political leaders commit tax fraud and don't pay the taxes they create? Do you have any evidence for this?

Are the leaders in Europe living on $35k a year salaries? I whole heartedly believe "leaders" in the EU dodge taxes by claiming travel expenses or use government funds for purchases.

I see the "professor" refused to address the question. Duly noted.

Anti-intellectual aversions aside, the pragmatic reality is that the most successful nations on earth are all variations on self-governance that regulates capitalism, promotes the general welfare, and subscribes to the fairness of progressive taxation.

Ideologues have their airy-fairy confections that promote their various dogmas, but we know what has actually been repeatedly demonstrated to work best.

Communist utopias are as much pipe dreams as are Aynrandistans.

Their official government salaries are often a lot more than that. Plus they are often successful to begin with, and being famous allows you to be paid to make speeches, write books, visit tv shows, etc for a good amount of money. Tax fraud does happen but you haven't shown that nearly all liberal politicians do it or that they do it far more than conservative politicians.

And if all were the "underclass" why wouldn't that be enough?

As we see, the more regulations, the less successful they are.
    That's pretty vague.
Whats fair about taking away more money percentage wise from those who earn more?

Free markets. Guess why drug dealers are so rich? No government intervention and no regulations.

Socialism is the road to Communism - Marx.

I would gladly do that......go back and have the government pay me what I was forced to put into it with interest! Once Santa puts presents under the tree, it is very tough to take them away. That is why we should never use Santa to deliver "entitlements".

I suggest that the most successful formula for governance ever achieved is demonstrated by the balanced approach of all advanced nations.

If you have an extant superior alternative you wish to cite, please do so.

I see so the only aspects of socialism you are in favor of are those that benefit you.

Well, if we want to go with the treid and truest method of success, then how about the USA bombs the **** out of every other country in the world and be the only surviving manufacturing country left. It worked after WWII. As we have seen, the more the government is involved in the private lives of Americans, the lower the quality of life happens. Prices go up, bubbles form, bubbles pop, and the country as a whole is stuck with bailing out "too big to fail" (according to the government) corporations.
