Wow! Congress found a loophole to exempt themselves from Obamacare, and now Trump is threatening to cut them off. Maybe now that their healthcare is on the line they will hurry up and pass some sort of healthcare bill. Maybe now it will be a good one for a change. :)

As fast as trump could tweet it, Graham announced he had a new plan to put up for a vote.:roflol: Regardless of the outcome, Trump should end congressional waivers and subsidies.

The bogus waiver was based on each member of the House and Senate declaring themselves a small business. This is further evidence of where the priorities of our public servants lie.

I'm sure these waivers were part of the reasons Pelosi insisted that ACA had to passed to "find out what's in it" ...

Obama gave members of Congress and their staffs the exemption, and Trump could take it away. They receive subsidies from the American taxpayers to pay for their health insurance. They should have to feel the pain of the "little people", and maybe then, they would sit down and get this done. But even if they do, they should not get that little benefit again. Drain the swamp...

If lol look under get scab you may very find that Congress gave themselves the waiver. Do not forget that Congress has been giving itself a separate health deal for a long tIme now. But how different is that from any private employer who it's workers health care.

The federal employee health insurance benefit is based on each employee getting a voucher which can be used to purchase the various plans offered. If the premium is greater than the voucher the employee can pay the difference out of pocket. Not sure if it works the opposite way. Sounds like the R insurance plan for the general public, no ??

It sounds like the various Republican plans for the general public except that the general public wouldn't have received much in the way of vouchers.

If they serve their own self interest yes, if they serve their constituents no. I respect politicians who place their constituents ahead of party.

One option actually supported by John McCain IIRC was to provide a refundable tax credit for those who purchase health insurance individually. That's a voucher.

Should pay them inversely proportional to total federal spending.
