Under the new software when the posters information panel says banned how can they still post?

    Hello Bluesguy.

    How are you doing?

This system automatically unbans and I manually change titles. So basically, if you are seeing a line through the name of a member's user name, that member is banned by points accumulated. When that line is gone, they are automatically unbanned by the system. The "Banned" tag under the users name is a manual update that I do. So you can very well see a banned tag without a line through the users name and that user can be posting because they are off the ban and I wasn't here to update their user status yet.

Im updating the banned user area now, so you shouldn't see any banned tagged members posting when Im done.

Intermittently yesterday, but today is working ok. At first I thought the image was too big, but tried it again and it worked. Posted problem here in case someone else was having issues but doesnt look like its widespread. I'll delete cookies and see if that helps.

I noticed that I have to click "watch thread" in order to subscribe to a thread. It used to be that if you replied to a thread, you automatically were "watching" or subscribed to that thread. I seem to have to click the little watch thread box every time, and even on my OWN threads. Lol. Otherwise, I have a difficult time finding the thread. I think it should be set to automatically watch any thread you have posted on, and if you choose to unsubscribe, then you click the box to unsubscribe to the thread. :) Thanks for considering my recommendation.

So I usually don't get notifications for a thread I'm in past the first day, but all the threads I participate in don't have the "watch" option. It's "Unwatch Thread." So, I don't think it makes a difference?

In your account preferences, the first checkbox is labelled "Automatically watch threads that you create or when you reply...". If that's unchecked, check it; but if not, I'd say something's flaky with your account, because the way you want it to work is how it has worked for me for years.

Right on the top right hand corner at the top of the thread, there is an option that says "watch thread."

Is there any ETA on a fix for the notification issue? I think it's getting worse. I'm now not getting notified about threads after an hour... I just found out I'm several pages behind on a few threads, just on threads I've participated in today.

Mine all say I'm watching the thread; I'm just not getting all the notifications.

Just this week, the reply function has been really unreliable for me. When I post my reply, it looks OK. But when I come back to it later, it is either truncated, or in a former version that I corrected or edited already. Yesterday I clicked on a link in an alert that someone replied to my post, and there was a tiny snap and my post disappeared.Tonight I edited a reply I made a few moments earlier, and it duplicated rather than write over.
I'm only commenting because this problem just began this week. No problems with it previously.

That's weird. I haven't had that problem that I'm aware of.

I think we did, but the mods did an amazing job of dealing with it.

Do you have an estimate on when the email notifications will be fixed. I'm not receiving anything from the site.
