Considering Hillary's track record with Libya and Syria. Would you have been confident that Clinton would have handled North Korea correctly?

Wouldn't have had to worry about NK because we would be waving the white flag to Russia right about now..

I think she probably would not have deployed in the South and East China seas and the situation would not have escalated... since Jong Un seem to be doing more nuclear tests than before the US deployed

North Korea has been more aggressive in the last 6 months than in the last 20 years. I don't think Clinton would have done any worse than Trump. Hell, Trump hasn't even nominated a new Ambassador to South Korea. And now in the middle of all this, he wants to complicate matters by starting a trade war with South Korea. Guy is a one man wrecking crew.

White flag doesn't matter when Trump is already Putin's b**ch.

What bothers me about Clinton is what always bothered me about her.

    1) Clinton would act (or not act) in accordance with the political winds, rather than by the facts of the matter. And secondly,

    2) She was a compulsive, serial liar with a track record of unnecessary and ill-begotten wars. Even if she was telling the truth about the threat NK was presenting, I wouldn't know if I could believe her.

And you think Trump doesn't match these exact same descriptions?

    Really?

I would have never voted for Clinton - but man, the rose-colored glasses that Trump FanBoys wear are wild!

    My evaluation of Trump:

I think he blurts out what he is thinking, even if it's wrong, even when it is ill-timed, even when he hasn't given, whatever it is, time to investigate the facts. I don't admire that about the man, but I don't think he defaults to deception and willful untruthfulness to the level that Hillary did. That's it in a nutshell.

You need to talk to his neighbors in Palm Beach and NY - those that knew him, and dealt with him prior to his run for office. You won't hold that opinion very long.

Don't need to. The man isn't perfect. But I don't think he asked for this question of war or capitulation. I don't think he wanted it. I don't think he is lying about the threat. I don't think Sec. Mattis would ever lie to us about something like this. So yeah, I'll go with this team.

So you honestly think the 8 years prior to the past 6 months didn't do anything to the DPRK relationship? They say if you put your head further in the sand, you lose your ability to think for yourself.

"Victor Cha, a former director for Asian affairs on the White House National Security Council is set to replace Mark Lippert as the next United States envoy in Seoul."

The guy is fixing the problems that Obama and Clinton left us. That same thing happening in the US happened in Australia, the guys who started the fires, are doing the best to stop the firemen trying to put them out.

Likely, HillBill would have the foresight to have a State Dept. fully staffed and funded as well as utilized diplomatic relationships to bring about far more international pressure on NK. This situation has been heavily influenced by a complete lack of trust and respect developed by our current President which she would not have brought about. Being quite hawkish we would probably have several aircraft carrier groups off the Korean peninsula and Subs as well as defensive missile batteries already in place.
I may not like Hillary but, would never decide to mess with her either.

All of the above, Hillary would do like Obama, Bush and B. Clinton, give them some money to shut them up. Kim whoever rants and raves for a few months and Uncles Sugar cuts them a check and they go quiet for a while, been going on for decades. It seems to have come to a screeching halt and fat Boy Kim is having a fit.

My assumption is that NK would have two additional reactors, and all the fuel they could ever spin.... And all the while, the news media would be praising her, fawning all over her righteous crusade to make NK a world power.

Oh yeah, Planned extortion has been the NOKO strategy for decades and the reply from the US is what I call it strategic ignorance.

I agree whole heartedly. This country has been the feeding trough by way of extortion of many nations for decades. I realized years ago, when I was in my early twenties that all that has to be done is rattle a saber and the federal government will most likely respond with a check. This is one of the reasons at the base of hatred for President Trump.

Hillary would have been balls deep in a war with Russia so this whole North Korean problem wouldn't feel relevant

She would have continued to pay the North Koreans bribes and ignore the growing nuclear weapons threats. Just like Obama. Just like "W" Bush, and, just like her husband, Bill....

I despise Hilarity Clinton -- BUT -- in fairness, it must be pointed out that now Donald Trump has backed away from doing anything decisive about Kim Jong-un and the nuclear threats. Trump has decided to opt in favor of a "Cash Register War" with nothing but 'sanctions'.

Worse, the "sanctions' voted on by the UN two days ago were watered-down to the point of complete uselessness, and besides, the Chinese will cheat, as they always have. Bottom line: All four presidents have, for the past 20 years, done NOTHING to stop the nuclear weapons progress and threats of North Korea. That's WHY we are where we are! And EVERYBODY knows it!

[IMG]. "Stupid Americans.... Was there ever really any DOUBT in your minds...?" :spin:
