Actually I stand squarely with the officers on this one. Dispatchers never told the officers about the toy gun or the age of the suspect. They had no opportunity to make determinations as to the kid's age or the nature of the weapon. They reacted properly to what they saw.

Without missing a step, this is my notion about race wars.

Humans have instincts. Even among blacks, they view outsiders as not of their best interests. Ever notice how when it comes to black boys, they hang out in groups. White boys do, but not nearly so much. It is because we are attracted to our own ethnic group.

But why? Because of nature. We are born into a pattern that we end up learning of fright and flight. A group of Germans can be very suspicious if a group is Catholic vs another group are Lutherans. Those I believe still are the two major religious groups in Germany. Lutherans were engaged in combat by the King and the prejudice is long lasting, probably passed down generation to generation.

I have not done a study on tribes fo Africa but have learned tribes won't harm their tribe members yet don't mind killing other tribe members. Black on black but still they group by interests and geography.

I never was taught to hate blacks by my parents. I did see terrible behavior among blacks in the Army despite them being severely controlled. A black gang member in the Army still was as dangerous in the Army as when he was a civilian. I had such problems with such types when i led two platoons of men during training. I can try to ignore my lessons or just accept the lessons and move on. Being wary has kept me safe for 79 years.
