And with white christians now down to 43 percent of the population and sinking fast, the death spiral becomes faster and faster

Yet they really "think" their orange emperor can stop the spiral

The key to understanding this phenomenon for the Republican Party is to look at changing U.S. demographics.

Minorities increasingly comprise larger shares of the U.S. population, with Hispanics and African-Americans currently making up 17.6 percent and 13.3 percent of the population, respectively. When accounting for all minorities in the U.S., whites now make up just 61.6 percent of the population.

And that last percentage is shrinking. The U.S. Census Bureau now estimates that by 2044, no race or ethnicity in the U.S. will represent a majority of the population… and that includes whites. This sort of rapidity of a country’s population composition changing seems to be unprecedented.

The impact of this change has certainly been felt in recent elections. Local and state-level elections in regions with significant minority populations have consistently moved Democratic, and there is no real indication to believe this is changing anytime soon. It’s also been true at a national level. In this past November’s presidential election, Democrats benefited from 89 percent and 66 percent of African-American and Latino votes, respectively.

So what’s propping up the Republican Party right now, allowing them to sneak in a surprise like Donald Trump against all expectations? The easy (and lazy) answer is that it must be that the 62 percent of whites are still voting overwhelmingly for Republicans, offsetting these growing demographic changes.

ROFL!!! This is *exactly* what Hillary and the Marxist Democrats have been saying for a decade. In the meantime they have lost 1000 elected seats across the nation over the past decade, including the Presidency in 2016! Two thirds of state legislative bodies are controlled by the GOP. A large majority of governorships are in GOP hands.

The Marxist Democrats have *nothing* to offer the people except identity politics, higher taxes, and more regulation of their lives. It simply doesn't matter what racial demographic you belong to, that is *NOT* a winning message!

Take a look again at your "Local and state-level elections in regions with significant minority populations have consistently moved Democratic". You have this exactly backwards!

The shrinking white christian demographic is essentially the only "base" that the GOP has left.

It is little wonder that they pandered to the BLOTUS and his white supremacist nazi base because there was nowhere else to turn in order to find voters.

If the GOP alienates that segment of their base they are headed for political defeat so they are essentially moving towards having the "R" in Republican forever associated with white racism.

The boomers are reaching their sell by dates and we can expect to see an average loss of around a few of million voters per year for the next two decades. Amongst those losses will be GOP voters and there are no replacements who will step up to take their places in the voting booths.

With the frenetic bible thumpers increasingly bound for glory and younger Whites far less religion-prone, it is, increasingly, "Onward Christian Soldiers!" for Hispanic Americans and Black Americans who are taking up the fallen ensign and leading the charge in a different, far more virtuous direction.

RIP, sanctimonious hypocrites. The faith inexorably advances as Lady Liberty passes her torch to a new generation of Americans.

This video sums up Generation Z succinctly:

What really shocked me is a majority of Generation Z Asian males support Republicans.

Conservative values are based on logic and common sense, NOT on race.
Unfortunately, the Dems are purely a racial/gender based organization which hates all straight, white, males.
Even if you are only two of the three, you're still considered scum in progressive eyes.

Let me get this straight, only Republican baby boomers are reaching their sell by date? Who knew. I have 4 daughters and they are all righties do they and their children count as vote losses for the Republicans in the decades to come? When the young snowflakes realize that stuff isn't really free things change. Many middle class young people become Republicans after a few years of paying into the system. Not all young people feel entitled.

He's not stopping it, but fomenting it. Don't take credit where it is not due. He has said he is for the working class. He just falls along the conservative side of the working class. And yes, he is wealthy. How else could he be as independent from Congress as he has? That's why none of them like him. He wants to take away their privilege. If they are not wealthy, they fight this because they don't have money of their own.

The founding fathers believed similarly to Trump.

Ethnic 'demographics' are one thing... but this is ANOTHER major factor that will affect the GOP:

People are catching on to the relatively LARGE amounts of horrible BS wrapped in the 'conservative' and Republican agenda.

Simply put, what the GOP is selling is hardly as popular as it has been hyped-up to be. People with good sense who are somewhat open minded can begin to see that.

I doubt that. For one, they were ALL exceedingly more educated and far more wise than Trump. They would likely laugh at the things Trump has said, proposed or done. They'd also be outraged.

Nothing I was taught in any history class I ever took, tells me that this President isn't worse than any I can remember. (And I've lived under 10 of them so far, in my lifetime.)

Actually I'm not a Christian, but I am white, and I still vote for the GOP. The real ones, I mean - not the frauds named Trump.

The alt-right racists and Jew haters have commandeered the Republican Party for their own entertainment, and have installed a reality TV game show host to emcee the festivities. With any luck we'll be able to purge them and get back to being the party of Reagan.

LOL youre not a conservative, you're a party guy - big difference. Your're a cheerleader for the GOP establishment. Trump is the purest conservative in modern history, yet you don't like him because he doesn't do what your precious GOP establishment wants him to.

I never claimed to be a social conservative. I said I'm a fiscal conservative. And a Republican. Two things which you aren't and wouldn't understand.

Trump is the purest alt-righter in history.

Trump is true alt right, but so am I. You're of the media propagated idea that alt right = white power. It's not.
Robert Spencer is a white nationalist, Trump is not. Spencer does not represent the alt right.
