So you are not paying attention to the local election results since last November?

Out of 29 races the Dems have held all of the seats they already had as well as either flipping GOP seats to Dem or reducing the GOP margins into the single digits in hard red districts.

That is a trend that should not be happening given that these are exceptionally low turnout races.

That does not bode well for the GOP in 2018.

Saying "no" served them pretty well the last few years. They managed to successfully block most of the Democratic agenda and Obama's desires.

Hijacked by Trump is a very apt description. I wish Trump and his herd of loyal sheep would stop calling themselves Republicans so the real Republicans can actually try to get something done now.

The republican party is the Titanic of today, slowly sliding beneath the waves. Wave bye bye to them.

    Nope!

You illustrated the OP topic with your table showing the decline of the white vote as a portion of the electorate.

Since the GOP is virtually exclusively white that demographic shift is imperiling it's election chances in the future as minorities take an ever larger role in elections to come.

And just to clarify it is the extremist alt right white supremacists who are the racists that are driving away minorities from the GOP. The GOP's problem is a Catch-22. They need those racist white voters to win elections now but by doing that they are alienating minorities and thus jeopardizing their own future prospects.

Exactly. That's why so many people are leaving the Republican Party. It's become like a caricature of its old self.

Let the Trump lovers follow their leader and take freaks like Roy Moore and Mike Grimm with them. Start a new party. Anything. Just go away. Fast.

    Take, for instance, me.

The not so successfully veiled racism, the ridiculous social agenda, the obnoxious hypocrisy in spending, it's all crashing down. This is not the Republican Party I joined in 1980 because I was so inspired, as an 18 year old kid about to go off to college, by Ronald Reagan.

You appear pissy concerning representative democracy, but that is how our republic was designed to function by its Founding Fathers.

The US will no more be South Africa nor Mexico than it has been Finland or Belarus.

Y'all are not going to be happy when the US turns into South Africa or Mexico.

You can't eat all that virtue.
I am a bit pissy. The representative democracy designed by our Founding Fathers restricted the franchise to White male landowners. It is unlikely to survive, let alone do well, in a multicultural setting.

It certainly won't be like the US we've known. I don't think Black and Brown people are capable of acting like White people and have no inclination to do so, in any case.

When I want to know the agenda of the extremist alt right I will ask an adherent.

    Your opinion is worthless.

In what way? I have yet to hear a detailed description of what the US will be like when the POC takeover from the leftist point of view.

My prediction is that it will become more like the places that POC originate from, Africa and Mexico, and that to my mind is not better.

Pretty sure I'll be around a lot longer than would suit you. I do like the that you've resigned yourself to the fact that neither your ideology, or bigotry will be advanced on their "merits". Only the demise of your political nemesis can bring your philosophy away from the radical fringe you occupy. One day you may get the socialist utopia you deserve, but don't hold your breath. 2040 is a looong way off.

Single payer healthcare. Gun control. Closing Gitmo. Pulling us out of Iraq. That's for starters. I'm sure you can Google the rest if you're really interested.

How/when did Republicans stop barry from pulling out of Iraq, in fact barry said "no boots on the ground" yet.........there were more added. Gitmo, most Americans didn't want to close Gitmo.http://www.cnn.com/2016/03/04/politics/guantanamo-bay-poll-north-korea/
gun control, tell me what Democrat ran on gun control other than safe seats?

    barrycare, fully funded.
barry had control and majorities when the barrycare was passed, why didn't they just do single payer , immigration and gun control then?

What about the rest of what I posted? Troops were back Iraq well before Trump was elected( barry said he ended that war) and why was that? I'll give you a hint, barry's and the hildibeast's own creation, ISIS.
