Will USA Military If Ordered Fire On Americans

Well they already have almost a century ago. After WW1 and right before WW11 The Bonus Army vets were fired on and some killed by our military led by Patton, Eisenhower and McArthur. No wonder Eisenhower later warned us about the military industrial complex.

With so many subversive groups in America these days and many threatening violence I could see some instances where it would be justified. For instance American born jihadists committing an act of terror at an event where there is military in place supporting law enforcement. The same is true of any group that turns violent towards other Americans or law enforcement. Any sort of insurrection needs to be dealt with force commensurate with the severity of the threat. In my opinion if you show up at an event organized and armed you are declaring yourself a beligerent and a combatant so it's game on. It's funny that some Americans are now plotting to overthrow the government and have already made their presence known. When Obama was in office he prayed every day for something like this to happen by members of the Tea Party et al but it never happened. Obama made it very clear that he thought that all Americans were fair game for any reason that occurred to him and those groups denied him a reason. I think that to date President Trump has shown great restraint with these militant idiots but that may change.

 

Soldiers will kill who they are ordered to kill. They shot a bunch of armed kids at Kent State. You think they would hesitate before killing a bunch of armed retards screaming about overthrowing the government>

 

What do you think the civil war was all about? A lot of Americans killing each other because they were ordered to do so.,

Of course the military will kill anybody if ordered to do so. It's what they are trained to do.

 

We need more people like Newton Knight, who are willing to desert the army and actively high against it.

You should reconsider the "moderate" label in your avatar.

First, things have changed quite a bit over the past 100 years.

Second, military personnel are only required to follow lawful orders.

Third, Posse Comitatus prevents the use of Federal troops, but not the National Guard since that's State. That wasn't the US Army firing on Kent State students, that was Ohio citizens firing on them by order of the Governor. I doubt that type of thing would happen again .

Lastly, as much as the Left Wing hates the military, both state and federal, our modern, all-volunteer military is too professional to attack their fellow citizens.

Any American citizen who is a leader of a terrorist organization warring on the United States from a foreign country is an enemy combatant. I have no sympathy for enemies attacking innocent Americans.

We used to have slavery and women couldn't vote either. Things have changed even since the 1960s. Not LWers, of course, but our military certainly has matured in the 50 years since Vietnam.

Our military men are sworn to uphold and defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic. And that's precisely what I expect the vast majority of them will do. They will side with whoever is defending the Constitution... And today, that's not progressives.
