    That's what I said. You did post a response to me after reading what I said to someone else. I'm in the entire conversation here so I have to reference the entire thread in order to be consistent. Having a side argument is like being tag teamed when I'm solo. I'm getting hit by two sides because two people want to debate two different things for some unbeknownst reason - unless they have ulterior motives.

    Not sure where your country is, but it definitely isn't America. We buy flashy Winnebegos and go to campgrounds and parks.

    Well I've already made my case in this thread. Just because you don't like it or agree doesn't mean the argument hasn't been made.

    This is great. Because it is quite obvious that the true and only solution to the "immigration problem" is to privatise it - let the people who want immigrants take care of them and pay for their stay from their own pockets. Quotas and walls are equally insufficient and nothing but a waste of resources and welfare-programmes to "help the refugees/migrants" are a big waste of tax-dollars that could be used on better things.

    Every country is seemingly full of Liberals who are pro open borders and who wave their "no human is illegal"- and "refugees welcome"-signs. Unless they are hypocrites, we have millions of people ready to open their arms, doors and bank accounts to look after Carlos from Juarez and/or for Ali from Kabul. ;)

    I agree that if virtue signaling had to be backed up with virtue doing, the blather about immigrants would dry right up.

    AMIN!!! :applause::applause:
    Destruction, as I have stated in other OPs does not come from a Zeus or Apollo character floating in outer space, but from the hands of the majority of a society along with its rulers.

    You certainly have a point, consumers vote with their dollars, but I believe it's more than just that. Competition sort of drives everyone in the same direction. There's a pressure, if one store is offering much lower prices, you have to shop there to compete with everyone else. Otherwise you're going to have less money and not going to be able to get a foot in the housing market, other people are going to be able to work for less than you in jobs because they have lower personal expenses, etc. Of course there's wiggle room, for someone not earning the bare minimum, but there's still definitely pressure. If everyone else had to spend more money too, there wouldn't be as much pressure. Does that make sense? There's sort of a level of competition in the economy, and you have to keep up with the herd. If a business finds a way of cutting costs, even if it leads to lots of environmental damage, or exploits their workforce, all the other businesses have to do the same thing to compete.

    I may have already replied to this thread ... but either way:

    There won't be a crash, there'll be an adjustment. I live in a country with high minimum wage, and no 'cheap labour' agricultural workforce. Our crop pickers are well paid, and most of that work is carried out by middle class white folk, looking for something different. We pay up to $10 for a 'handful' of blueberries, and many are happy to do so. Those who can't afford such prices, don't buy blueberries (obviously).

    When things change, Americans will either adapt or perish. If/when the cost of food goes up, you'll simply need to earn more, or grow your own.

    How did Walmart have a cheap plentiful supply of low wage labor?

    OP

    Yep, cheap labour and slave wages, that's what it's all about. We have it here in the UK in spades. I can't believe that our liberals would be in favour of unskilled foreign workers being ruthlessly exploited, but they obviously are. How does that work?

    The OP is absurd. There are 12,500,000 illegal immigrants in the USA. The OPer asserts they all are farm workers and 12 million isn't enough. That is truly absurd.

    The Democratic Party and many of their minions are bigots and racists down to the very marrow of their bones. It their view, Latinos are so sub-human they are only suitable as farm work animals and nothing else.

    Can you point out a link to where that is the official viewpoint of the democrat party?? Or is this speculation on your part?
