Leon Ruby (born Jacob Leon Rubenstein; March 25, 1911[1]– January 3, 1967) was a Dallas, Texas nightclub owner who fatally shot Lee Harvey Oswald on November 24, 1963, while Oswald was in police custody after being charged with assassinating U.S. President John F. Kennedy two days earlier Jack Ruby was born Jacob Leon Rubenstein[6] on March 25, 1911 in Chicago as the son of Joseph Rubenstein (1871–195 and Fannie Turek Rutkowski (or Rokowsky), both Polish-born, Orthodox Jews. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jack_Ruby
About time all the documentation was made pubic....the paranoid governments should be chastised for keeping those a secret all those years....makes them look really guilty, which, of course they are.
All documents weren't released. A couple hundred were kept under raps. The problem, I think, is that they won't release Oswald's tax returns. Let's see who paid him. We probably will never get the full truth, because too many ex presidents were involved.
It appears Trump agrees there are national security reasons to keep some facts redacted. Not everyone who was alive then is dead. Mexican assets who were in their 20s in the 1960s could be in important positions of power now. https://www.nytimes.com/2017/10/26/us/politics/jfk-files.html Mexico was a cooperative partner with the United States in many ways — from helping to wiretap the Soviet and Cuban Embassies well prior to the assassination, to thorough attempts to investigate Lee Harvey Oswald’s ties in the country after Kennedy’s murder. Sources told the C.I.A. that Oswald had deposited $5,000 in a Mexican bank. In a document dated March 9, 1964, Mexico was reported to have traced all deposits in Mexican banks, looking for the money. They found no such Oswald transaction.
I've seen the justification. It's distasteful nonsense. We're talking about a clandestine operation that has been covered up for 53 years. Just the fact that our government has that power should scare the **** out of every American. In this case, full release or Trump is just another puppet to the swamp he wanted to drain.
Conspiracy theorists will never be satisfied. Even if all papers were released, they'd claim some were held back. First and foremost, I do not believe our own government, or parts of it, assassinated an American President. There's too many good Americans over the decades who would have revealed the truth if the CIA, LBJ or anyone else was part of the plot to kill JFK.
I'll repeat this question, the one question no one wants to answer. If Oswald is the lone gunman, and he is dead, then where is the threat to national security?
please see Max's post above ... you can't reveal names of inside CIA contacts in foreign countries or methods of operation by different agencies ... you fail to look at the big picture which is geopolitics ...
Geopolitics is an excuse. Total fraud. If he's the lone gunman, and he is dead, then clearly there is no national security threat.
You clearly don't understand ... I'm not going to explain it to you ... it's not about Oswald but how modern governments operate their intelligence communities ... why do you think such a big deal was made of Valerie Plame? ...
I understand, I don't care. It's an excuse. A gigantic excuse. The very idea that our government has the authority to keep this secret this long is grotesque and should concern every single American.
These documents that were just released. It makes no sense that 99% of the documents were kept secret or redacted. The vast majority were public but redacted, and the ones they finally released were far from ground breaking.
It does make sense and there are good reasons for it. Most of the documents concerning the assassination were made public in 64.
