If anyone knows where Olive Garden gets the black olives they put in their salads, please tell me.

It has to be farm-raised catfish. Wild is just nasty. Farm-raised is good stuff. Chicken livers are a widely known delicacy.

Yes, like aged Spam. Wrap the chicken livers in Spam - the Japanese call it rumakispamki. :)

So when you cook your turkey this year, don't stuff it with bread. Use your favorite recipe, but substitute a 50/50 mix of Michigan wild rice and bulk brown rice.

Bullpuckey! Wild catfish is great, you have to know how to filet it properly. Gotta get the oily layer of meat off of it. Same as tuna. If you don’t do it correctly, yeah, it isn’t going to taste right.

Dont care for catfish. Got hold of a mudcat one time and that cured me of bottom dwellers. The livers I got last were sorry. Too much crust, not enough liver. Guess I'll have to fix my own. Prob do bacon wrapped cl's for Christmas. Everybody loves those.

Spam is big in Hawaii. Not a breakfast buffet without it.

Then all they need is the catfish, the liver and the olives.

It's fascinating to see how posters feel about food and
their diet { or consumption therein }. In the animal Kingdom there
    isn't a progression of Taste needs. However our Pets { domesticated }
do develop likes and dislikes based on taste, flavor and smell.

Food and diet is simply no laughing matter.Definately not
something to scoff at.With the proper Diet { foods } and exercise
and fresh air,an average human can have a good quality life.
Take away a good diet and the end result is often not too
    delightful.

When we humans are toddlers we stick a lot of stuff in our
mouth. Then as we enter the juvenile stage we tend to eat silly.
Like junk food and candy bars.Scoff at a nice T-Bone or Pork Roast.
Then as we enter Middle age we are done experimenting and want
what we want based on past experience and preference.
Teenagers and those in college can easily skip meals.
Seniors ... not too much.Seniors live to get to the table for
3 squares.Because they need more calories to do the same
amount of work as a Teen or one in Middle age.

I find nothing amusing about food. Many things in life are amusing.
In my mind, food is not one of them. Our Pets are also not amusing.
Some things ARE Amusing.Like one's relatives.

that is true, as a toddler i ate lead paint chips since it was legal to paint with that until the 70's. then my progression of taste evolved to processed potato chips.

it is amazing from my food and diet that i got this far in the animal kingdom of humans, where it is eat or be eaten, and survival of the fittest.

Thereby proving the Norm of Man as Rational Animal.
Then why do rational animals act Irrational when it comes to
din-din or chow time.Must be something in the feed.

From the Genco Pura Olive Oil Company. They're the olives that QC rejects.

Any olive trees in your area? ‘‘Tis the season to pick if you do. We usually put up 10 gallons a year. Mine are green though. If you want them black, you just let air hit them during the curing process. Black olives aren’t a variety.

It is almost noon and I have not eaten yet so I need to come up with something before I faint from hunger and ketosis.

I think I'll make more potato pancakes. These are always really good when you have time to make them.

They serve as a breakfast, lunch or dinner side dish -- carbs -- but they also have beaten eggs in them -- protein.

Last night at the pub poker game I played into a bigger flush and lost all my chips.

My flush was 10-high. The winner/opponent's was Jack-high.

We were both all-in (which now reminds me of Paula Broadwell) and a 3rd guy was all-in too with 2 pairs.

Went home after that and took my long haired Maine coon cat for a walk. He always loves going on walks with The Human.
