Just sayin', if a 12-year old can get shot right on the spot then nothing's off the table now is it?

Just the optics my friend, optics, isn't it a reflection on what's happening at some ball parks?

People leaving when the game is over? That's kinda common in sports.

Have someone explain irony to you. Enough already.

Right as soon as someone explains context to you. Picking one random picture off the internet without the context means absolutely nothing.

Was a shame. Although if you're honest, you'd remember that the cops got reports he was aiming a pistol at people. And, as all too common, he refused to do what the cops told him to do. But I"m sure to some people, the cops were just out looking for a black kid to gun down...

Again, that stadium emptied out in that picture because it was the end of the game.

When you pull up in front of a 12-year old and shoot him dead immediately, then he can't ignore cops orders.

I think you know that wasn't my point. My point, I used the pic in the OP as a symbol of what is happening today around the league.

This year the seats are empty because of TONS of players doing the kneeling in week 3, in addition to bad refereeing, poor gameplay, lousy teams, expensive tickets and too many commercials.

Last year it was pretty minimal with just Kaep.

For those of you unfamiliar with the news story, the kid was out in a public park in broad daylight.

Odd, all the reports I saw said that the cops repeatedly told him to show his hands. You wouldn't happen to be distorting facts to fit an agenda would you???

The video of the incident shows none of that.

Can't hear if they told him anything or not. But in that amount of time, I doubt it would be possible to say much to him. However, you can clearly see that when the cops pulled up (why they'd pull 3 feet away I have no idea), the kid lifted his shirt and reached for something in his waist.

There's no sound but they pulled up real close and opened fire awfully quickly and you see him drop to the ground. Pretty sure obeying orders is out of the question at that point.

Agree. Was nice of them to edit the footage of him waving a gun at people walking by over and over again though.

One of the people calling the station even acknowledged that the gun might've been a fake, in fact he sounded pretty sure of it.

    Distressing.

Few questions: why was a 12 year old wandering around the streets with no apparent purpose, alone? and why was he waving a gun around? and why did he have a gun in the first place? why wasn't he home doing homework, or out with his parents, or doing chores around the house, or participating in organised sports, or on an innocent adventure with his innocent friends?
