Ouch: GQ Magazine names Colin Kaepernick its Citizen of the Year.

Out of all the incidents, this is easily the one that seems legit to protest. But that doesn't excuse the riots, looting, and protests, especially when most of the other incidents were fabricated.

 

Is no one 'protesting' the parents who would allow their 12 year old child to be exposed to so much risk via their complete failure to parent him?

Not that kids should need protecting from police, but Jeebus H Christos ... keeping them off the streets and waving guns around isn't an unreasonable proposition!

 

And the police were to know this, how?

 

Sure that happens. About as often as when blacks turn up their rap music every time a White Person is killed by Police Officers, which BTW, happens considerably more often than it happens to Black Americans.
And for some reason, Liberals and MSM always seem to overlook that statistic.

The kid was in the park, a public place. He was playing with a toy gun, as most kids tend to do because they're kids. He wasn't doing homework or chores because kids don't like to do those things when they have free time, in fact kids need to be begged to go outside.

Of note is the fact that the person who called 911 tried to tell them he was likely a juvenile but that info didn't get through, and he had to be asked repeatedly what race the kid was. Also, the officer who shot him was labeled as emotionally unstable and unfit for duty from his previous job.

 

I think GQ is a publication for gay men. Like men reading Vanity Fair. Real men don't eat quiche.
Nothing surprises me about liberal media though, Time magazine will probably make him into man of the century.

 

What about James Blake's wrongful arrest by NYPD? Or Charles Kinsey's shooting? That's the guy who got shot in Florida while he was taking care of an autistic man and the officer who shot him point blank admitted he didn't know why he pulled the trigger.

 

They're supposed to go by the caller's word.

 

I don't know, I've been to and played in a lot of public parks. I've never seen a kid threatening people with a gun

Maybe if they would have been better parents, their kid wouldn't have been roaming a park, acting gangsta, and threatening people with a gun?

Nope, I never have or have ever seen someone threatening people with a gun in a park.

How were the cops supposed to know if was 'probably fake' if the dispatcher didn't go into depth? Is this turning into a city-wide conspiracy?

very very bad. dodgy cop, poor communication, etc. terrible business.

but I restate .. why would parents allow their 12 year old son to wander the streets waving a gun around (even a toy gun)? and why was a 12 year old wandering the streets alone with no apparent purpose, full stop?

PS: no one likes homework ... but homework is how you get your kids out of a culture which apparently considers it okay for 12 year olds to wander the streets waving guns around.

Oh of course, blame everyone accept the guy who pulled the trigger without even giving a warning. You know if you have to dig into parent's records just to try and downplay the shooting then you've got no argument. Really, it comes off as trying to say "well, it's just a dead black kid."

Any white person that thinks it's racial is welcome to go around a park pointing a firearm replica at people, then grab at it when police arrive to test the theory.

The police will go, "well, some people said it's PROBABLY not a gun so I'll wait to see if he shoots me before I take this out of context."
