Christians aren't severing the heads off of live human beings or throwing homosexuals off of buildings. Nor are they stoning women.

Pretty funny from a guy who is always trying to tie 60 million Americans to ANTIFA ... here's a mirror for that glass house of yours.

60 million??? No way. Our rate of idiocy is just not that high. While there are more antifa than neo nazis and the KKK, they are still so few in numbers compared to our population. But hey, you find idiots on both sides. The only good thing is most antifa people will grow out of their fantasies as they mature. Their age has much to do with what they believe in. These are mostly just children who are rebelling against something. My generation had the hippees, that eventually grew up and had kids, who now still live in their basements.

The Westboro church is considered anathema by almost every other local church in the USA.

They have a point of doctrine against using physical violence, but what they have spoken publicly against diverse kinds of people who do not believe exactly what they believe and who do not join in their protests is disgusting -- for instance their celebrating of the pulse night club massacre of fellow US citizens and protesting funerals.

But the ACLU has defended them and SCOTUS has found that their speech is protected under the 1st.

As far as I know they have never been charged under the law with an act of physical violence.

I wish they would go away but I'm not going to put my feet and a rifle to that wish.

Sikhs were known as being warriors and fought alongside U.S. Marines during the Boxer Rebellion where they earned the respect of U.S. Marines as being warriors.

The last time I had to get physical and kick ass was about a week after 9/11 when I walked into a liquor store in Santa Clarita, Ca that was owned and operated by Sikhs. There were a few white low information punks in their early 20's physically attacking a Sikh believing that the Sikh was a Muslim. I intervened and kicked some butt and then had to give them a lesson on who Sikhs are.

I blame liberal political correctness. Since stereotyping is considered to be politically incorrect, young Americans today don't know how to stereotype.

Sikhs wear turbans on their heads.

Muslims wear diapers on their heads.

There's no excuse for confusing a Sikh for a Islamist jihadist.

What appears to be a Democrat Antifa soldier waving a sword enters a store run by a Sikh. Big mistake.

Why doesn't Israel want more diversity? Wouldn't diversity make Israel better? They're literally paying blacks to leave. Or they confiscate money and promise to give it back when they leave. Why would they do that?

Not since they were defanged and declawed during the enlightenment and before then they had a nasty bloody history, with crusades and inquisition, burning witches etc

Boy are you mixed up. Twice it was burned by fighting with pagan Roman's. The Serapeum was burned by Christians, but it is not known if any of the library was stored there at that time. The Muslims did burn the library, Amr did it on orders from the Caliph Omar. Zealots were Jews.

So were the first Christians. And they were (small "z") zealots as well.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Library_of_Alexandria

Paganism was made illegal by an edict of the Emperor Theodosius I [the one that made Nicene christianity the state religion] in AD 391. The temples of Alexandria were closed by Patriarch Theophilus of Alexandria in AD 391. The historian Socrates of Constantinople describes that all pagan temples in Alexandria were destroyed, including the Serapeum.

You are right that they were not alone in the Library's destruction. But the first Christians were not a tolerant bunch (which was the point). When there's a religious takeover, the former philosophies are systematically repressed by the exalted. The process isn't exclusive to Islam.

No, the process isn't exclusive to any group who conquers. However, your post seemed to blame Christians for something while ignoring the rest. It took a long time for Christian sects to get along with each other. There are still issues but no mass killings like in the past. In the Muslim world however they are still at war with each other.

One thing I recall, right after 9/11 I read a story of a Sikh being attacked and thanks to a store owner who pulled him into the store, he didn't suffer serious injury. I had to shake my head at the ignorance of some Americans who can't tell or don't know that a turban doesn't always equal Muslim. Although, even if he was Muslim it still wouldn't justify that violence.

Yeah and we're helping them so much. We're invading them, taking down their elected leaders, bombing them, we put our puppets at the head of their states, and we even support this or that terror group as long as they commit their acts for our gain, or rather the gain of a few. Why are they so pissed?

The ME is on fire since the Occident put its foot on it. There were squabbles before, but nothing close to the amplitude seen in Europe, or in the Occident in general. Before zionism, Jews were safer there than in the rest of the world.

When the autocratic regimes we put into place interdicts all king of opposition, opposition forms itself in the only channels it can use - in this case, religion. That's what happened in Saudi Arabia. If the Eastern world had provoked such a mess in America, I am pretty sure the Protestant faith would have been a "source of troubles" as well. Resistance movements are often organized around a religious core, especially in poorer countries.

But sikhs groups did committed acts of terror. And not little ones. Terrorism isn't exclusive to Islam.

No doubt our meddling in ME affairs has only made things worse, but even if left alone, Muslim sects kill each other. That's why that area needed strong men to hold power, to keep the factions in check. I never said Sikhs didn't commit any terror attacks.

Yes, it is important to select the person who the voter believes would do the best job, and it just so happens that Christianity
did not enter into the equation.

It was an obvious redux of the Willie Horton political ad with only the name changed -- not concerned with anything but getting the result of more votes.

But they say all's fair in love, war, and politics.

Well, that's more supposition than fact. We don't know how the ME would stand now if we let Mossadegh and democracy create some kind of hegemony.

We had them - they wore names like Hussein and Kaddhafi. We took them down.

Dont spread lies about Christians as way of defending your pet minority

No one really knows for sure what caused the library to burn or when it happened

Like so many things in ancient history, this can't be known with exacting certainty and there may have been several fires. Caesar's burning of the fleet in the harbor in 48 B.C. is firmly established, and while it is not certain that the library burned, it is known that the fire spread from the harbor into Alexandria itself. It could have been that a patriarch in the 4th century burned documents in a library annex, the Temple of Serapis, which was distant from the main library. It could have been Omar in the 7th century conquest. It could have been all of these, one if these, some of these, or more than these -- with a different event being part of the mix and that event being entirely lost to history.
