Here's an interesting article that was published today on the jewish news site JTA:
    https://www.jta.org/2017/11/14/news...for-israels-detention-of-palestinian-children

What do my fellow PF members think about this bill? Should the US refuse to fund Israel’s military detention of Palestinian children? As always, all opinions are welcome.

    From The Times of Israel:

    Absolutely disgraceful.

It's telling that not a single person here wants to defend US funding for Israel’s disgraceful detention of Palestinian children.

A better bill would outlaw the U.S. funding anything for another country.

I hope this bill passes, but am skeptical that it will.

As far as I'm concerned, we should stop funding Israel in every way, and AIPAC should be ordered to register under FARA.

Yes, I agree with you, but of course that will never happen since the jewish influence in American politics and media is too strong.

No my friend, not that. Nobody cares to debate the topic that is... well... does not require to engage even portion of one's brain. I too will net debate the merits of the confused, esteemed Congresswomen's bill that has no chance in hell to see the light of day.

Since you appear desperate for responses, I would have to say that each case should be evaluated individually. Incarcerating the children alone without including the irresponsible parents who created the little rock-throwing monsters in the first place is just not enough. The parents need to be hauled in and held accountable for recruiting their own children to fight.

Why do Palestinian children throw rocks?
    Because they don't have RPGs!

Oh, I'm not "desperate for responses", buddy, because my threads are doing just fine, like, for instance, Non-Jews should not be allowed to live in Israel - Israel's Chief Rabbi, which has 27,205 views and 649 replies. Or my new thread Chilean presidential candidate calls Israel ‘a threat to world peace’, which has 1,413 views and 261 replies.
If Palestinian children are "monsters" for throwing rocks at Israeli soldiers who invade and occupy their land, then how should we describe Israeli soldiers who commit war crimes and kill innocent people? And how should we describe all those influential jewish religious and political leaders who advocate the torture, enslavement and/or murder of innocent non-jews, including children?

Here are just a few examples:

Shmuel Eliyahu (…) is an Israeli rabbi. He is the Chief Rabbi of Safed, Israel, and a member of the Chief Rabbinate Council. (…)In May 2007, Eliyahu advocated "carpet bombing the general area from which the Kassams were launched, regardless of the price in Palestinian life." (…) he proposed "hanging the children of the terrorist who carried out the attack in the Mercaz Harav yeshiva from a tree."[6]

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shmuel_Eliyahu

Michael Ben-Ari (…) is an Israeli politician, and former member of the Knesset. (…) In November 2012, during Operation Pillar of Defense, he said: "There are no innocents in Gaza, don't let any diplomats who want to look good in the world endanger your lives -- mow them down![23][24]... kill the Gazans without thought or mercy."[25][26][27] (...) During a protest demanding the government escalate the assault on Gaza, he repeated "Let the IDF kick ass!", before complaining, "Why is it that after 200 assaults only 15 were killed? It should be 15 assaults and 2,000 killed!"[20]

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Ben-Ari

Ovadia Yosef (…)[3] was an Iraqi-born Talmudic scholar, a posek, the Sephardi Chief Rabbi of Israel from 1973 to 1983, and the founder and longtime spiritual leader of Israel's ultra-orthodox Shas party.[4][5] (…) In an October 2010 sermon, Yosef stated that "The sole purpose of non-Jews is to serve Jews". (…) In 2001, Yosef was quoted as saying of the Arabs: It is forbidden to be merciful to them. You must send missiles to them and annihilate them. They are evil and damnable.[77]

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ovadia_Yosef

In the 22-day Israeli military offensive (Operation "Cast Lead") in Gaza between 27 December 2008 and 18 January 2009 some 1,400 Palestinians were killed, including some 300 children (...) Others, including women and children, were shot at short range when posing no threat to the lives of the Israeli soldiers. (...) white phosphorus was fired indiscriminately over densely populated residential areas

    Israeli troops reveal Gaza abuses

The soldiers - speaking at a conference for graduates of a pre-army service training college on 13 February – have described lax rules of engagement, which seemingly allowed troops to open fire at unarmed civilians posing no threat to their lives, and an atmosphere of impunity where disregard for fundamental principles of international law was too often tolerated and even encouraged. "That's what is supposedly cool in Gaza… You see some guy on a road, walking along a path. They don't have to be carrying weapons, you don't have to identify that they have anything, you can just shoot them," said one soldier.

Bring a Picnic, Watch the Show: Enjoying Gaza Assault In a Lawn Chair

Seven times in eight years, Israel has assaulted the Gaza Strip. For many in southern Israel, the massive airstrikes shattering the cities of their Palestinian neighbors in the latest attack make for a gratifying show and a nice day out for a picnic, writes Nissim Behar in France’s Liberation. (…) Some bring along chairs, others, folding loungers. On Wednesday, it was the turn of the Economy minister, Naftali Benett, who dropped by to rub elbows in this strategically important place.

Israeli Professor's 'Rape as Terror Deterrent' Statement Draws Ire

'The only thing that deters a suicide bomber is the knowledge that if he pulls the trigger or blows himself up, his sister will be raped,' says Bar-Ilan University professor.

My mistake. You only appear desperate. On the topic, my opinion is that the parents of these children are the ones that need to be locked up.

Interestingly, you didn't say a word about the Israeli soldiers who commit war crimes and kill innocent people, or about the influential jewish religious and political leaders who advocate the torture, enslavement and/or murder of innocent non-jews, including children.

I can say a word or even two - Israeli soldiers who commit war crimes are persecuted to the full extent of Israeli law.

Palestinian terrorists, who murder Israeli citizens in cold blood? Why, they’re heroes... martyrs! Streets and skruls are named after them, their families receive pensions and Palestinian children are yarning to be just like them!

    See the difference? :juggle:

You attempted to discredit the poster, your post was reported. Lets allow the mods to decide. Now do you have anything to say on the OP subject or is this just an attempt to derail the thread, which I have again reported you for.

Nobody pays me to post here, dude. I started this thread because I wanted to highlight Israel's human rights violations against Palestinian children. It's something I feel strongly about, and no, it's not just because the culprits happen to be jews. For example, I boycott Chinese products because I oppose China's genocide against the Tibetan people.

LOL. I did no such thing. Report away. Clearly you have no interest in calm rational conversation. That is the failing of this type of thread, and the people behind them.

    Why are you so threatened?

I wrote a couple words, and you've gone on the offensive. Why? You've destroyed your credibility. There doesn't appear to be a desire to discuss, just a desire to bludgeon. Poor tactics.

Probably not what the objective that was being hoped for.

    I wish you well.
