Is propaganda a positive or a negative? Contextual? If contextual what is the boundary that separates a positive use of propaganda from a negative use? What are your thoughts and experience on this?
Propaganda is a weapon, and always has been a weapon from the dawn of time. Propaganda need not be false, the proper use of Propaganda is in fact the closer to the truth it is, the more powerful it is. Now, propaganda has been used to wage war, it's been used to arouse support by the masses. In that sense, it's negative. But in the sense of 'propaganda' for a good cause(social media gatherings, etc, awareness of an event for a disease. The breast cancer runs for example, etc.) there's also good propaganda. Many want there to be 'many sources', so that way you can pick and choose. But I see the advantages of State Media. In that Corporate-owned media has the 'agenda', whereas the State has its self-interest of preservation. In both cases, you're seeking for a self-interested 'other' to tell you the truth, but I feel the Corporate State is much more deceptive.
Propaganda is awesome... I use it to get my kids to eat their veggies. Actually serves a dual purpose because now they also have a clear understanding of fake news.
Ah, who can forget the good ole fashioned "Eat your carrots, they're good for you." It's true that they're good for you but the real undying reason is that you want those selfish kids to eat the food you made
Except carrots are good for you, that's why you made them. Saying they're good for you is really the wrong thing to say to a kid...who wants food that's good for you? Propaganda might be something like, "eat your McDonald's, and you too might grow up to be president."
they're only allowed fast food once a fortnight... won't work. I tell them broccoli boost BRCA2 activity which helps repair your DNA... not sure where I go wrong
I think you're going wrong in that broccoli and carrots and all veggies make kids gay...Marxists and libs and the LGBT want people to eat them to corrupt them... feed them more McDonald's...like the (Mc) Donald eats...two Big Macs, two Fillet-O-Fish, and a chocolate malted....they will grow strong and smart and be rich!
Advertising is propaganda. I don't think many people want to ban advertising. I don't even want to ban propaganda. I want it out in the open so I can rip it to shreds. When ideas are suppressed they gain an air of martyrdom. There are very few things pulling me toward Holocaust denial. At the top of the list, practically uncontested, is its illegality in much of the western world.
You know in Australia ^^^ is considered child abuse.... is this the Trump menu you cited... I read an article about Trumps McDonald's fetish but stopped reading after two Big Macs... felt a bit nauseous
