    Overwhelming? Are you on drugs?

You don’t think the fact she wasn’t old enough to work at the restaurant when she said she did is a relevant factor?

You don’t think the fact that a woman just happened to forget to mention a traumatizing event like being stripped to her underwear and made to sit in a strange house with an old man while he got undressed in the bathroom calls into question her story? While it may seem inconsequential to you, there is a HUGE difference between being fully clothed in someone’s house while you wait for them in the bathroom as opposed to being just stripped down to your underwear by a 30 year old man and made to wait there in your bra and panties while he goes into the bathroom for god knows what.

And the fact she just happened to forget that important detail calls into question the entirety of her testimony.

Rural Alabama folks are great folks to be around. I drive through and stay in Alabama about 12-15 times per year for business. As long as you are wearing the right colors on Saturday, tricky to know if you're in auburn or tide country, you will be treated kindly.

Those with an ideological need to pretend that everyone with no reason to lie about Roy Moore is lying, and that Roy Moore who has an obvious compelling reason to lie is not, will do so.

If it were not for politics, they would readily admit that the weight of common testimony confirms his having been a sexual predator, not fantasize that there is a mysterious, widespread conspiracy in his community, mostly by decent, honest Republicans, to expose him.

He cannot even keep his own story straight:
Roy Moore victimized teenage girls to satisfy his sexual desires forty years ago, and he tries to victimize those same women to satisfy his political ambitions now.

It's about time he stopped attacking innocent women.

What in the hell are you talking about? I didn’t victim blame anyone. I said a true victim would not have forgotten that detail.

Did I miss something? What did Gibson say Moore did illegal? In fact by her own account Moore never acted anything except a gentleman to her. Isn’t that right?

By the way there’s a massive difference not remembering one of the literally tens of thousands of people he met and interacted with as opposed to forgetting a salient detail of a sexual assault lol. Are you serious right now?

One more thing... if you weren’t being so dishonest you would point out the context of the “I didn’t know any of these women” quotes from Hannity. Hannity was specifically talking about the two women who claimed Moore did something illegal. Not every one who claims they dated or met him.

But you’re not being honest so you won’t do that.

Which means that you think she is not a "true victim". You are attacking the victim. That is what Republicans do.

And you are doing it to defend a Kid Toucher.

    Shame on you

I have no idea where you got the notion that Gibson had accused Moore of anything illegal. His inability to tell a consistent story shows that he is lying:

First, Moore said that he remembered Gibson as well as Gloria Thacker Deason ... Then he changed his story: "I do not know any of these women.”
He repeated his lie: “Let me state once again: I do not know any of these women, did not date any of these women."

“He called me a liar,” said Gibson, who says she not only openly dated Moore when she was 17 but later joined him in passing out fliers during his campaign for circuit court judge in 1982 and exchanged Christmas cards with him over the years.

“Roy Moore made an egregious mistake to attack that one thing — my integrity.”

Anyone who needs to buy Moore's story and accuse all in the community who offer consistent testimony concerning his fixation on teenage girls of lying is, undoubtedly, politically motivated.

They cannot show why so many people, with nothing to gain and nothing to offer until they were tracked dow by journalists and reluctantly shared their experiences with Moore, would do so.

What was in it for them? Nothing.

Who coordinated their accounts of Moore? No one.

    Why
would Moore deny the truth of their consistent, shared recollections of his behavior? That one is obvious.

Whether the ideologues actually fall for Moore's denials, or pretend to do out of partisan zeal, is of little consequence.

MooreStink will pervade the ranks of Republicans in Congress. Decent Americans, women especially, will not forget.

”No vote, no majority is worth losing our honor, our integrity.”

You said victim blaming. That’s different. That means I’m saying the victim is to blame for the assault. Like she wore skimpy clothes so that caused it or something. I am not victim blaming

I am calling into qurstionthe testimony of the ONLY accuser who said he touched a kid. And I’m not doing it. She did it when she contradicted her own testimony.

So you are parsing out the difference between attacking the victim and blaming the victim?

    Really?

You're calling her a liar. You're defending the Kid Toucher

What are you talking about? The ONLY consistent aspect of these accounts is that Moore likes younger women.

Nobody is disputing that fact. Not even Roy Moore. But there’s a HUGE difference between someone who likes young women and someone who sexually assaults them. ALL of the women who dated Moore never said he was anything other than a gentleman... except for two.

One of those two claims to have evidence that appears clearly forged and she refuses to release it. She also claimed she worked at a restaurant where he assaulted her when she was too young to do so.

The ONLY other accuser (and the ONLY one who says he did anything with someone underage) contradicted her own testimony of events in a public forum.

For you to even assert that evidence is enough to declare him guilty is preposterous.

If she had told ANYONE of consequence for the forty years between when it supposedly happened and today she would have more credibility. But the fact she came out with a contradictory testimony after forty years and it JUST so happened to be right before a senate election doesn’t make her look credible. It makes her look like she’s lying.

You can dismiss everything your prevailing ideological agenda requires you to dismiss.

You can denounce all the prominent Republicans who have scrupulously assessed the accounts, and denounced Moore's self-interested lies and squalid antics. I think Ivanka Trump's condemnation of Moore and support for his victims expresses a common sentiment among fair, decent Americans.

I fully expect enough White evangelicals in Alabama to be in denial of his moral turpitude and send him to Washington.

Your constant bleating about partisan and ideological agenda is genuinely hilarious as you sit there with your political agenda and attempt to destroy someone’s career and life over an accusation from 40 years ago (that JUST so happened to come out right before a senate election) that you literally have zero evidence of.

Excuse me if I take your faux outrage for what it is. Nothing more than political gamesmanship to attempt to keep a highly conservative figure out of the senate.

An effort which you’ve already acknowledged is for naught because Moore is going to win Alabama in 5 days. And when he does you can refer to him by his proper title of Senator Moore.

It is clearly in Moore's interest to lie. We have yet to see any motivation for so many in his community who have provided consistent accounts of his behavior after they were approached by journalists.

E.g., Theresa Jones, a deputy district attorney in the same courthouse as Moore: "[E]veryone we knew thought it was weird ... We wondered why someone his age would hang out at high school football games and the mall, but you really wouldn't say anything to someone like that."

Beverly Young Nelson’s attorney has requested that her client be subpoenaed to testify under oath in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee as soon as possible.

    Well?

On November 13, Moore’s wife, Kayla Moore, wrote in a lengthy post on her personal Facebook account that the Moore campaign is continuing to gather evidence which shows all of the accusers against her husband were paid to come forward.

    Well?

Initially, when it appeared Moore’s scandal would destroy his candidacy, many prominent Republicans pronounced his accusers' accounts credible and disqualifying for Moore. After polls indicated that Alabama’s White evangelicals were largely in denial and were still likely to elect him, many abandoned their ethical values for partisan expediency.

Not all are sacrificing their integrity, but it will reflect on all.

    1) I quote prominent Republicans' statements concerning Moore's scandal, not Democrats'.

    2) I want to see Moore elected.

You bristle when I note your transparent ideological agenda.

There are many Republicans or Democrats who do not share it. For them, the moral issue is far more significant.

Again, on November 13, in an attempt to smear Moore's victims, Moore’s wife wrote that the Moore campaign was continuing to gather evidence that showed all of the accusers against her husband were paid to come forward.

Well? We're waiting. Is Moore's wife lying as well?

I challenge you to name one shred of credible evidence that would hold up in a court of law. Just one.

    Don’t worry. I’ll wait.

Be honest. You know he did it and you simply don't care.

No actually I don’t. I think Moore is the type of social conservative that the media, the left and the establishment republicans despise. They would rather eat a pile of steaming dog crap before they would want to see Moore in the senate.

I also think Moore had a proclivity for young women when he was younger (and maybe even today although nothing has surfaced to that effect). And the fact he liked young women was well known. After searching they couldn’t find one shred of evidence he did anything wrong or anyone who officially accused him of wrong doing in his past. Given his known penchant for young women, they took a dozen or so people who would say he liked younger women and they paid one or two of them to say he did something illegal.

    That’s what I think happened.

It would be funny, if it weren't so pathetic, how Republicans attempt to "cleanse" their conscience for supporting a child molester.

I don't know who this "Senator Stubbs" you mention is. So, obviously, I never supported him. And, if he abused a minor, even if I agreed 100% with his ideology, I would never support him. You, on the other hand, support and struggle to find excuses for child molester Roy Moore.

Face reality: No matter how hard you try, you will not find anything to justify your moral low.

Correcton: 6 Women from.... last month. And 1 from this month. Some of whom told And testimonials of over 30 witnesses

If you're going to insist on supporting and making up excuses for this child molester, sooner or later you're going to need to acknowledge the fact that you will never find an excuse to cleanse your conscience, and henceforth you will have not moral authority to criticize anybody for immoral behavior.

Denounce the creep, or live with the fact. You know excuses will not help

You know that as a mid thirties man...he had a "proclivity" for "young women"...You do realize that at BEST...you are talking about a grown man who has a thing for teens and you have no problem with that. And of course you ignore the fact that several have said that he plied them with alcohol ...that one said he tried for forcibly "touch" her...and that one was FOURTEEN.

But you are an anti-abortion fanatic because you think that is the "moral" stand...but will convince yourself that you can ignore the IMMORALITY of this creep in the furtherance of that position.

You should be ashamed...although I know you are not

I'd ask why you are so adamantly anti-abortion but I doubt I'd get a coherent response and that really should be another thread.

By the way...there's no evidence or even credible accusations that ANYONE was paid here. THAT is in your own mind

I'm not trying to cleanse anything dude, Just informing you that your party doesn't have a moral high ground from which to chatter. And one of the accusers has essentially admitted that she is a crank and that the signature isn't worth a crap. And you continue to defend PP who sells body parts.

Uhh no sir. Only 2 women said he did anything illegal. One of which admitted and clearly forged a signature in a yearbook with his name.
