The 'mission statement' reads well enough, but the articles seem awfully 'Guardian'. Might keep an eye on them in case they turn up something interesting but it looks like another left wing online publication in an increasingly crowded marketplace.

Actually I like the idea of a strong opinionated editorial on Australian politics, in fact I would like more on both sides of the spectrum, would make things a bit more interesting locally.... or do you think perhaps it's a case of be careful what you wish for?

Membership is $10 a month, I'll keep an eye on it to see if it's worth it, however I already have so many other subscriptions... we'll see

    AUD $10 per month !!!

On the Internet usually everything is free to the news consumer and the advertisers do the paying.

    When I read this article:

    https://independentaustralia.net/po...overnment-conceals-damning-climate-data,11087

I cannot see something leftish in it, just the truth.

So I will keep an eye on the Independent Australian myself. My understanding is that $10 per month will do, but it is not a must, but a donation.

I came across this article just recently, and the Spiegel International is certainly known as a valid source of journalism and information.

    http://www.spiegel.de/international...any-covered-up-cancer-concerns-a-1174233.html

Strange that we never read about the truth of Roundup here in WA or broader Oz, why?
Everyone in my neighborhood is using it, no questions asked, not even being worried!

Well if the truth has a leftist stain, I am happy for more leftism and a stained shirt....
    Regards

I support a strongly decentralised Australia with far more states, and far fewer powers residing with the Federal government. I would introduce a unanimity rule. I would introduce a process to allow towns, cities and regions to split into their own states.

    Makes more sense for :flagcanada:

Agree that Australia should be several nations, not one

It is As left as you Cats.

Has some reasonable reading if you are open minded enough, but very little balance to create informed opinion.

Seems to be the way of this world. All about the brand, all about the tribe, all about smoke and mirrors. To hell with balanced argument!

I believe truth and reliability is soon to go the way of common sense...... extinct!

We are bestowing a cult status upon our political parties, rendering us blind to their faults.

These publications and their Goebbels style of propaganda are not helping society.

    We couldn't be further apart.
If the truth is leftish, I happily surrender to it.
Common sense would suggest that we keep an open mind, take Round Up!!!!
I remember that in the late 90ties a Swiss lead examination of Round Up revealed that it does show in neighboring plants, in small quantities.
That to this day is still denied by Monsanto.
If it is used to contain weeds on farms, it will show in the food chain..............
    Goebbel Style propaganda?
Quite the opposite, but it depends where you stand.
As I said, we couldn't be further apart....

Go for it, and I mean, go for it (if you want).
Who would New Australia trade with?
What does feelings towards, getting another deal with the EU or UK feel like?
To us in the UK, we feel like it's up to you how much you want to use our global trade in London.
And how much you like us of course.

    Hmmm,
global trade in London? Would it be fair to ask for how much longer?
I hope it works out for you Pommis, but I have my doubts...

    Hi Bb,
would you regard it as leftish, or walking the line?

Some were definitely leftish and then I hit one about someone "slut shaming" someone else and that seemed a bit tabloid for my tastes

    Doubts?
    You been talking to France?
Seriously though, a lot of EU countries are going to try and seduce you, but remember, it's castles built on economics of sand.

Better the Independent States, of Australia.
If some wish to for unions of understanding after independence, Bravo :applause:

Victoria certainly deserves the option to be FREE.

    But sadly, they don't comprende
