OTOH, I like mashed potatoes with skin on. Not everyone does. Since many of the nutrients are in the skin, along with most of the fiber, I keep the skin on.

Additionally, I soak and rinse the cut up potatoes a few times before boiling in order to leech out the starch. The potatoes are much fluffier and lighter tasting.

I'm not sure about this but maybe if the cucumber is sliced near
wafer thin the skin isn't a problem.

As far as I'm concerned " TexMex " is just a word and not a very
savoring one ta boot.Reminds one of Days of the Old West and
steaks that are tough as cowhide.

Some people swallow fists full of pills everyday. There is pretty good evidence that turmeric and CoQ10 can help you.
Now their are studies to justify taking every kind of plant extract or mineral.
So, ultimately, before you swallow a quarter pounder of pills, you have to ask your esophagus: "Do you feel lucky? Well - do yah punk?" ;-)

TexMex is a style of cooking that never includes such atrocities as black beans or fish tacos. You can have your cerviche, but dont you dare wrap it in a tortilla. ;)

Blood work is how I found out there was a potassium problem. ;)
Blood work is also how I knew I no longer had a potassium problem. :D

I have blood drawn about every three to four months, but only have a full work up annually. There have been no indications that any of my other nutrient/mineral levels were out of kilter. While I am not discounting the information regarding RO, I've been drinking it for years, I don't think I need to go to DEFCON 5 just yet. :)

I was going to ask you exactly what was in your water, when I realized you were (had to be) being facetious.

I've gotten water quality reports, and those things will scare ya. Considering what happens at the source, and the pipes it goes through to get to you, I think I'd rather be drinking water I boiled from the duck pond.

I used to buy those Burritos in the glass jar.
    With the paper wrap inbetween.
Heat 'em up on the stove,But it's mushy food.Plus full of
grease.Does not result in good bowel movements.

grease stimulates bile production and makes for lovely smooth bowel movements, constipation relief is one of the many health benefits of high fat diets from places like macdonalds.

Still on my Steve McQueen kick. Last week Netflix sent me "Bullitt", this week "The War Lover". It has flaws, but still a great movie. Even greater for those who are either pilots or B-17 fans. As orgasmic as those who loved seeing the B-25 scenes in "Catch-22". Those who love to fly know what I'm talking about.

You can pretty much cover anything with chili and make it better.

I like Der Weinerschnitzel's chili cheese hotdogs !!

I got called-in to work at 600AM from a deep sleep. Some other guard was down with the flu.

Only had time to make coffee, a ham and cheese sandwich, and grab a donut to go with it and a can of Coke.

Lived on 1 jug of coffee plus the donut all morning long for 4 hours.

Lived on the sandwich and coke all afternoon for another 4 hours.

Everybody at the job site said the other guard was sick as a dog yesterday. No wonder that the flu leveled him today.

I am still coughing occasionally from the flu but otherwise over it from 2 weeks ago.

My question is ... what are you gonna do when you reach a
senior.Seniors virtually Live for their meals. You won't catch a senior
that misses a meal.Plus they the first to arrive at the chow line { buffet }.
I learned that lesson when touring Europe with my Mom and Aunt
in the mid-80's. It was a bus tour with Seniors.

never thought about this, do nursing homes have good buffets and aids who spoon feed and wash bottoms thoroughly?

seniors are living the high life if so.
