I can see why Bluto has a special place to eats.
Because those swivel stools are all slightly bent.Imagine if
Bluto was on the coach making out with Olive Oyl.
She could end up as part of the fabric in no time.
But then again that's why God made skinny chicks so athletic.
She would indubitably chose to be on top.

 

I had to load up and live on coffee all morning long yesterday.

Today I am giving coffee a rest and detoxing from caffeine.

I got to sleep-in today, have breakfast at home, and nap until the NFL playoff game coming up in another half hour.

Tonight I have to pull a graveyard shift guarding a children's hospital.

We guard hospitals because (1) they are open to the public, (2) the patients are vulnerable there, (3) the workers who are mostly women are vulnerable there, (4) they have cash, (5) they have drugs, (6) they have parking issues, (7) they do not allow smoking on the premises, ( 8 ) vagrants and homeless will try to sneak-in and sleep there during the winters.

For breakfast I had:

- waffles & raspberry syrup (both made from scratch)

- bacon

- 2 eggs soft boiled.

Washed it down with Coca Cola. I need SOME caffeine !!

 

Caffeine free Coke and Pepsi taste fine to me, but there is no boost.

Have you seen the video of the guards dumping the patient from the university of MD hospital in Baltimore?

As if the guards had anything to do with the decision.

 

and one more thing, i may be poor and uneducated but i know the difference between 'Aryan' and 'Nazi'. Aryan means blonde hair and blue eyes, and Nazi means being hateful of others.

i am superior because i have blonde hair and blue eyes, not because i hate the mud people.

 

As a hospital guard, you have personal responsibility for everything that you do.

I would not have dumped the homeless lady like they did onto the street.

I would have refused to participate, even if the hospital would have fired me for it.

At the very least, take her to a homeless shelter, if her condition is stable enough. And buy her some clothes from a thrift shop. Sweat pants, sweatshirt, sox, tennis shoes, wool cap, coat, gloves, scarf, and a blanket are the minimum that a homeless person needs to survive in winter -- and that's INSIDE the shelter not outside in the cold.

So, yes, I saw this on the tv news and it sickened me.

The State will probably revoke these 2 hospital guards' licenses. The State will probably also revoke the licenses of the doctor and or nurse who ordered that she be dumped like that. Inhumane.

Some lawyer will probably take on this homeless lady's case and sue the sh!t out of the hospital and the 2 guards and the nurse and doctor.

With any luck this lady will be rich before the week is out.

 

For dinner, steak chunks in tomato and vegie gumbo.

Gumbo simply means it has okra in it.

Gumbo can be made with any meat or seafood.

I like shrimp gumbo, fish gumbo, steak, or lamb gumbo.

3/4ths of my steak roast is now gone.

I will use the rest of the meat cold to shred for roast beef sandwiches with diced onion and mayo on toast. That'll be my lunch around 3 a.m. tonight on my graveyard shift at the children's hospital.

 

If only SeX was yer Food.I dread to think of the possibilities.

 

that is called fornication and is a sin outside of the sanctity of marriage, food and alcohol are not sins as long as you take personal responsibility and are gainfully employed.

obesity and alcoholism are only sins when the individual is unemployed under the doctrine of laziness. slothfulness is the biblical terminology.

I went out to eat. I couldn't eat all of the great food that I left a big tip for. So, I asked for a box.

I then went to the restroom and when I returned, my table was cleared. Except for the box.

Cool. I grabbed the box and went home.

I am the proud owner of a nice, clean, empty box.

So the Question du jour is this ...
What is more Important ... Eating or Drinking ?
I say by leaps and bounds ... Drinking is.
Judging by the amount of fluids I see in shoppers cart.
Plus the way most Folk have some drink in their hand or in their
vehicle cup.
Last night I watched a good Twilight Zone episode.
- The Rip van Winkle Caper - { 1961 }
4 men hold-up a train and come away with One Million
in gold bars { bullion }.The speed off in a truck to a spot in
Death Valley they chose with a cave.The ring leader was skilled
as a chemist having used this knowledge to knock-out
with some kind of mist those guarding the train and the gold.
The plan was that each man had a glass coffin made that was
cryogenically sealed and that once inside they engage a button and
it fills the air inside with an agent that knocks them out for around
100 years.Since they are very hot and will have a hard time cashing-in
any gold bars for some time.
So 3 of them wake up after the 100 years and one died due to a
piece of rock falling on top his sealed glass coffin.
Then another man died when one of the remaining 2 got greedy
and used their vehicle { which was stored in the cave } to commit a
hit and run.
That left just 2 men.The ring leader and the greedy guy.
They kinda took water for granted and only filled up their small
water bottles.They had to lug all that gold on their person in saddlebags.
Eventualy water was the final determinant.The ring leader forgot his water bottle
at one of their sit down stops.They had to trek around 20 miles to get to the
nearest city.That meant around a day and a half.So the Greedy guy said
one bar of gold for one swig of water.Eventually Water was their end-all.

 

Barnes & Noble had Christmas cookies by Fannie May on sale.
First they were 30 % reduced then 75 % as of last week.
I'm on my 2nd box.They are Fannie May Holiday Grahams
They are really good.
Normal price was $ 12.95 for an 8 ox. box

 

If they fire the guards I would expect them to testify for the homeless lady and against the hospital and doctor.
I would also expect the homeless lady to testify for the guards and against the hospital and doctor.

It would be a win win - unless the official who ordered the dumping was actually working with the tort team - IOW crooked as opposed to just stupid.

 

And you can back the flour brown for a dark gumbo and skip the oil.

 

Another fine example as to Drink being more important than
Food is - Gerry - { 2002 } a really special kind of movie.
2* buddies with the same name { Gerry } decided to on a lark
going hiking in the desert.As they casually park their car on the
outskirts of a hiking trail,they almost immediately feel compelled
to act like world-class hikers.Talking and walking quick as if
What Me Worry!, Which of course they don't.Until they discover
they lost their bearings.But never fear,they convince themselves that
on sheer intellect alone can overcome this dilemma.But as time
passes and the sun is due to set,they still feel they can just plop
down for the night and all will be well.They have nothing but their
casual clothes on and no supplies whatsoever.
Nothing to help conquer the elements.I think they did have a
pack of matches,however.
By the end of the movie we see the look on Matt Damon's
face as he barely survived the ordeal as was fortunate enough to
find a dusty 2 lane highway where he gets picked up by CAR.
He is in the early stages of a form of shell shock.Is disoriented,weak
and probably unaware of his surroundings.

I like the texture and flavor of the oil.

I am not wild about flour in a broth.

Broth should be from the scalded pan on the stovetop plus when you add hot water to it and boil it off.

This works with butter, with onions, with seafood, and with red meat.

It only does NOT work with chicken.
