George Patton the man but not like George Scott made him seem

Patton the man did not have the gruff voice of Scott. I realize Scott was an actor, but why not use an actor with a voice close to Pattons? I came away from Patton the movie with one idea about Patton. As a young boy, one of my uncles drove a tank under Patton but as a kid, i did not know enough to ask him much at all. The war was still being fought so I missed a golden chance to talk to a tanker about war. Maybe the grown ups got in the way. My grandmother loved to kick the children into the back yard and confine us there. What little I got to be in the home did not afford me much chances to speak to my uncles on leave from the Army.

Patton was one hell of a good General. Bear in mind, he arrived at Bastogne and got the Germans out of there.

 

George C. Scott was such a brilliant actor. I don't mind if his Patton sounds different from the original.

 

Patton was a cultured, well education Virginian of means, who sounded very little like Patton.

 

I think the russians killed him.
